This information should have been shared with the community a month or so ago. We have people that pre-ordered the game that cannot get a refund. Luckily for those on Xbox you can refund a pre-order. I have been asking for a while in the forums any information on Next Gen versions only to met with the "we have nothing to announce at this time".
The frustrating thing about this is that Frontier 100% knew this would be an issue and waited till the DAY BEFORE LAUNCH to tell people about it. Now before I go on, I actually 100% understand the reason for this limitation. I have seen PC Parks running as low as 15fps or even lower due to the size and the amount of items placed in the park. You even have people posting Youtube video's of their parks, but they speed up the footage due to how bad the frame rate. I 100% get the reason to have this in place. The original Xbox One has only 5.5 gigs of Video Ram, the PS4 has 5.0 while the PS4 Pro has 6 gigs and Xbox One X has 9gb. So I get the reason for this. With that said...why did you wait till the day before launch to tell us?
Let's move on now. Now that we know this, can you please give us a bit more information how this works? Does each piece of scenery have a certain value? Is there something in the game that tells you if you drop this scenerary or ride it costs this amount of space? Providing only two images of what a 60-70% park may look like is pretty vague.
You mention that if I build a 80% park on Series X, most likely a Xbox One player wont be able to download it. Is there something in the Workshop that tells you if you can or cannot download something?
In the end I am still looking forward to the game, it is one of my most anticipated games. I just feel that communication is really poor and we need more information. I read a lot about the devs wanting to welcome new players to the Planco community and I no doubt believe you do...but it would go along way if the dev's would be more upfront with the community, The game will live and die due to the community and being more transeparent and providing information is a way to connect to your fanbase and future Planco family.
