Welcome to The Pilots Federation.


So, you’re looking for a player group to join? Well look no further.


The Pilots Federation is a friendly independent player group that trains and helps other commander’s in the game, to learn the ins and outs of being a pilot in the Elite Dangerous Universe. We take new, and old pilots, under our wings and help them become a formidable pilot to be reckoned with.


We do this by providing training camps (open to all pilots) to teach new skills, as well as refining old ones. We provide training scenarios for all kinds of situations such as; combat, evasion, smuggling, trading and mining. We also provide specialty courses, reserved for the more delicate situations.


Our goal is to work with pilots and other player groups to provide a unique player experience and to change the perceived definition of what PvP means.


We also are a Minor Faction in game with our own Back Ground Simulation to push. The Pilots Federation is currently located in nine different systems with one of them being a Founder’s system. We are ever growing and need your help to continue growing into the galaxy.


The Pilots Federation is open to all kinds of pilots, ships, and play styles. We have no allegiances to the major powers; however, your commander can have whichever they choose. We do not require membership to participate in any of our activities. But by joining our group, it shows that you are looking to learn new skills and share those abilities with the rest of the Universe.

I need the help from the community!


I decided to dedicate my time on elite by helping new and experienced players alike to further advance the game play of elite, Of course everyone is welcome in the club,


But a set of rules will be enforced In private group, immediate cease fire in Private groups if aligned to any powerplay factions,


Promoting information to a nexus of players across the galaxy Imperial,Independent,Federation.


Teaching new pilots the ropes of elite


Recruiting players for missions and gatherings


And just in general making the club as informational friendly as possible with the intent of becoming xbox's elites international nexus for pilots across the net.

So please if you're interested leave your gamertag in the comments below, I'll be searching for admins to moderate the club.

The Pilot's Federation will be a joint effort among the superpowers to proactively influence key systems into states of better nature or war depending on the situation.

So just as a heads up to this, if you do plan to register a minor faction under the name of "The Pilots Federation". It will end up being rejected on the spot as it's lore-important / restricted from being used.

I have to admire the hubris for trying to commandeer 'The Pilots Federation' as your own private player group. Lore wise every single person playing the game is a member of the Pilots Federation so I guess that makes you guys the largest player group around? LOL.

I think you'll find that anything that sounds like or seems to relate to TPF won't be allowed.

Here's the situation as I understand it, and Brett can correct me if i'm wrong.

As noted you cannot register ownership of this faction.

Like any minor faction, anyone is free to work for them and support them. Many people do work for the pilots federation, either to help them expand, or for RP puposes.

However, no player or player group can claim a minor faction (any more) as their own. Basically everyone is free to ignore your claims, the same as if you chose to claim ownership of a player owned faction that wasn't yours or any other minor faction.

All you can do is say "We are a player group that support the PF"

You cannot say "We are the PF"

EDIT: And of course, the PF is a special faction anyway, since we are all members of it. Basically you chose the worst possible faction in the game to try and claim.

There is no problem with a group of players adopting a minor faction and supporting that minor faction through the BGS. SEPP (Social Eleu Progressive Party) did this and have grown to be a very large group. If you want to advance The Pilots Federation then go for it. The problem is that, unlike SEPP where the minor faction truly was a minor faction, The Pilots Federation is HUGE. Lore-wise every Commander in the Galaxy is a member of the Pilots Federation whether we like it or not. Being a member of The Pilots Federation is about the same thing as having a government issued driver's license. It's absolutely meaningless because it is non-exclusive.

There is some attraction to adopting an existing faction that has already expanded to nearly a dozen systems. All the hard work has been done for you! The problem is that you learn nothing about how the BGS actually works this way. Territory easily gained is easily lost when you lack the knowledge to defend it. Starting small and expanding through your own effort is much more rewarding. Take a look at the Earth Defense Fleet. We expanded to 10 systems last year thanks to the hard work and dedication of the fleet.

Thanks. Yeah there's some challenges with this. But just like in 2800 when the federation was formed to give all pilots equal access to information and protection. We plan on continuing that history through instruction and action.

The BSG isnt our primary focus though, but we will be working on it. There are a few other player groups with in these systems as well, that we have to work with to keep from conflicting too much. So its not like we get a virgin system to push and no neighbors to contend with. Gonna be a challenge being diplomatic and accommodating, instead of going full pips to weps..

I see no downside to us merely promoting TPF as a faction that needs to have more love by everyone.

Besides as most of you have said, all commanders are apart of TPF by default, so how about we drink some milk and cookies over a concept that is rather admirable by many people in our community as a good cause?

I mean hell since GPP alot of good groups have dwindle down to the point of extinction, many new players are either getting massacred or they quit the game early due to the lack of social contact.

I boils down to that part right there. This is up to the individual and not for you to decide. If i want to RP making self-sealing stem bolts in the game, then I am allowed to do so.

I think a refresher coarse is due on the lore...

That sounds like fun to me. Providing information and training for pilots to learn how to be effective and capable within the Elite Dangerous universe. Unless you dont like the idea of freely sharing ideas, tips, tricks, and help with any pilot. But "each to his own" i guess.
