Yeah I was just pointing out to the poster that the thread was not started by devs as he/she seemed to be thinking. Some people think that mods=devs/FD staff.

Just noticed that there is a gap of over two months between the 1st post and the 2nd post (yours) which is weird - almost as if a whole thread that was previously merged has been lost/deleted.

Help! I landed in the middle of a huge theme park where dinosaurs are the main attraction. I landed right in the middle of a T-Rex nest, all the babies hatched, and before I could close my ship's cargo door, all the babies got in and are now eating their way through my Diso Ma Corn, which I was taking to a nearby starport to sell to some fool very astute gentleman for a huge profit. The repairs to my ship are going to cost me thousands. The T-rex mother then decided to stomp all over my Cobra, ruining my custom paintjob which took me weeks to spray onto the ship. I can't now take off and I am hiding under this rock, hoping the T-rex dad doesn't spot me.

Please help.

Quite possibly it is an artefact of the way the mods constructed the thread. They have tools that enable them to merge threads, move posts out of one thread into another, and so on. When they merge threads, the sequence of the posts is dictated by the timestamps of the posts in the threads, and the name of the thread defaults to the oldest merged but can be overridden (IIRC - it is a few years since I was an admin on a VBullitin forum). They would not have got their thread first just by doing merges, unless they had a thread to merge in with an earlier date. So it may be that a thread they merged in was older, but with a slightly different topic, but they edited that post (and perhaps deleted the other posts in the thread). One way or another it hardly matters. But it seems unlikely in the extreme that a thread about planetary landings would have no follow-up posts for 3 months.

Customer Support: I see. Have you tried pressing the button on the front of your PC?

Me: Ah yes, the PC is now booting Windows. Sorry to have bothered you.

If I get out of my car and decide to explore the entire surface of Earth on foot it will take me several dozen lifetimes to cover it all.

How come it only took me 15 mins to cover the explorable area of COL 285 Sector IQ-H B12-2 3?

I was really looking forward to FPS mode running around stations and stealing other peoples ships. But someone just stole my ship, and now I'm really P'd Off!!!

Whatever people are expecting first person mode and planetary landings to be like, they won't be. And then the whining will start.

I have to say, This new Oculus Rift seems incredibly real, I'm not even wearing it and the resolution this planet "Urph" displays in is incredible!. I even get a sensory feedback loop when I walk into a wall! It's amazing! The battery seems to last about 12 to 16 hours and then everything gradulally goes black and I have to lie down, but only for a moment and then I'm back on this same planet again. Good Job Frontier.

I 'am writing too you to strongly protest. Last night I landed on a planet in my shiney new A class ship. I left it parked for less than 10 mins to just pop into a Spar shop for a paper and some s. On return i was disgusted to find some thieving Alliance hoodie youth had nicked my undercarriage, FSD and stripped my stereo out. Also to add insult to injury some jumped up little Hitler Federation security craft had slapped a parking fine on my window and threatened to tow my craft and impound it if I did not pay the fine forthwith or move it !! Well I am informing you now I will not be paying the fine and would rather go back to tooling around in my sidewinder than give you any of my credits. This is extortion ! This would never have happened under the Thargoids :mad:
