If memory serves the t0 for the orbits is the j2000 epoch (january 1st 2000 at either noon or midnight. I can remember which off hand.) So the orbits should be around their 2007 locations in the game presently. The relative angles of the outer planets should be able to confirm 2000 era vs 3300 era locations. Without knowing the resolution, approximations, and methods they are using to compute the orbits it will be tricky to get an exact location to search for Ceres. Backing out the needed parameters should be possible with sufficient measurements over time of the other planets etc. With only a 4.6 year orbital period we would need to nail down t0. (presumably either the start of beta, gamma , or release?)

If Sol system in-game is modeled after 2021 then we have something to work with. If it's modeled after 3307 then it's a lottery. I've checked some Sol models and each has different positions for Ceres in 3307.
Mmm, downloaded Stelarium, investigated Ceres position for 2007 (nothing). Headed back to Earth & tried to match planet positions in-game for 9-7-2021 & 9-7-3307. Having difficulties for both. But not used Stellarium before so may be doing something wrong.

I think the star catalog was accessed and maybe updated a couple times based on existing stellar data but i have a hard time believing they are keeping the bodies in our system on any kind of parity with existing data or a model. I imagine with all the various tweeks, updates, crashes, etc… that they are just doing their own thing.

Hello
I played this game for a long time and never started main quests of The Dark Wheel and Raxxla.
Where do I go or what do I do to start ?? I went to Shinrarta Dezhra system but I don't see any missions there to start with...

Well you are about the same place with the rest of us 😉. Maybe take a look at the first post on this thread to get an overview. Happy Hunting o7

In the beginning of the game those missions were offered. Then they disappeared. Since then i guess the closest thing to an obvious raxxla related clue would be the codex entries…
ok, thank you. Did you guys asked CM if The Dark Wheel and Raxxla are still in the game, especially after Odyssey ?

I have an active support ticket going on. Arx didnt go through. I will just ask the support agent if raxxla is in game. Will reply to this with their response tommorrow...

The question should never be, is Raxxla in game, but rather is Raxxla currently accessible.

FD have confirmed it is in game on a number of occasions, and recently by the current CM. But no one has ever confirmed if it’s ‘accessible’.

Even better - and I am serious, it ought to be asked alongside an affirmation, e.g “on the 19 April 2021, your CM confirmed the existence of Raxxla and that is was present within the games galaxy, my question is, is said asset currently accessible”.

If one wants to be pedantic, you might try quoting UK law, although I suspect this does not fall under computer games, nor digital products, but you get the drift: ‘perceivable, operable, understandable and robust’.

Just remember again guys, Raxxla was moved to Lore & Roleplay, it was moved away from sections that are regarded as ingame current content, I believe raxxla is story driven but isnt actually reachable in game and the fact they remove threads regarding it and get you to navigate to threads not to do with current content just says it all really.
