well...my reason to believe Raxxla can't just be found by exploration or scanning is Omphalos Rift. You can read in Codex that Dark Wheel already looked for it and from my understanding they may have general idea where it could be but you can't get there without Omphalos Rift. My theory, find Omphalos Rift go to Dark Wheel and only then, they will point you to where to look for that Gate way that will take you to Raxxla. This makes any sense ?First see several posts in this thread. Literally more than several tens of (probably >100) theories exist, none of which got confirmed.(many aren't even rejected, either.)
But all suggestions are good. What makes a suggestion better is 1)giving it (though incomplete) a reasoning, 2) suggest a way to test the hypothesis, 3) give it flavour.
Happy hunting!
I think the Omphalos rift is on Raxxla. The active component of Raxxla, so to speak.well...my reason to believe Raxxla can't just be found by exploration or scanning is Omphalos Rift. I know it is not mentioned in Raxxla Codex but any of you think Soontill maybe have something to do with all of this ?
What about the G2 Dust cloud which is there and the seeable center (If going by looking down on the map) seems exactly between the g2 cloud and Sag ASo currently playing with the idea that Sag A* isnt the "center" (or omphalos if you will) of our galaxy. If you are looking to hide a needle in a haystack - the Galactic Centre is a good place to do it.

Using the Codex Map as well as the Galactic Sectors Map... Need to come up with criteria for star types to search....
Here is where Im looking (havent decided on a "y" value yet):

According to EDSM Sag A* is located at: 25.21875 / -20.90625 / 25899.96875.Will check it out. Thanks!
It shows +/-100 thereIs there a way of showing galactic coordinates when flying??
Ah, reading the logs-perhaps EDDiscovery shows current coordinates? Will check out when flying later today. It shows +/-100 thereExact way - read logs.

Cant you just move 25.2/20 in the galmap & see whats there/close then go hunt directly?

Or am I being stupid due to slow breakfast coffee?
Hasn't occured to anyone before that in order to reach the asteroid belt in Sol we need to "set the controls for the heart of the sun"? And the weirdest thing, I boosted for about 10 mins past the yellow fsd-failure barrier and didn't reach the exclusion zone. At SagA* I reached in around 2 mins. Wonder if that's a bug or a feature.
Also I can't shake the feeling that despite all the awesome Raxxla theories brainstormed here we're still waaaaay off the right path. Which in my opinion should at least have a few hints that we're getting warmer.
Anyway, it feels we have to tackle more than a saucerful of secrets here.
Nope. It's overlapped anyway, I can't make any sense of it.Have you worked on the odyssey code in the loading screen? I havent played with it much… almost looks like midi music though
It was mentioned in the 'the dark wheel' novel that was included in the og elite. Not official in game until ED.I have a idea but I need to know if Raxxla was introduced in to the game before or in Elite Dangerous. I played Elite II and Frontier:First Encounter and I don't remember Raxxla being in the game back then. I know Davis said, he had Raxxla idea in his head from the beginning but when was Raxxla actually introduced to the game ?
