Went to Epsilon Orionis, found small data survey cache. If I'm really lucky, it'll contain the location of Raxxla.

Saw the g on AB 2, could not resist.

Well, I just tried EDSM and typed RA[A-Z] (so RAA, RAB, RAC, ... , RAY, RAZ) in the search box - no matches came up for anything that matched RA??LA. So either it's NOT in EDSM, or there's no such system.

I don't think EDSM allows for partial word searches.

They need to change that btw. They need to add multiple ways to look up partial terms. Specifically mutliple * in one name.

I just noticed something. EDSM states there are 8 celestial bodies in the system. I wonder if the guy saw that and assumed it meant 8 planets and not a star and 7 planets.

It also says Lorrad discovered it... That is either rOmiLaYu's in game name or someone actually beat him to it by a short time.

That system was first discovered for EDSM by lorrad on Oct 31, 2017, 6:42:38 PM.
4 ships passed through Dryu Bra XX-L a7-0 space, including 3 ships in the last 7 days.
0 ship passed through Dryu Bra XX-L a7-0 space in the last 24 hours.

The thing with EDSM is, the person who "first" discovered it for EDSM, is the first person to enter the system with E:D Market Connector or an equivalent recording program. I have many "first discoveries" on my name, which were already discovered in game.

The same rules apply for a system to be searchable on EDSM, it has to be discovered by someone sharing his data with anything recording journal entries with EDSM.

I was there in September...which is before October.

In game and forum handle are the same.

Oh, I just assumed you had an alternate handle or account and discovered it and was off by a few days in discovery or something. Or someone actually beat you and you were still off a tad... I figured someone turned in data quicker or something and got the credit or something odd.

I had an idea. How hard would it be to do a reverse search and document, like EDSM, which systems were checked and in which way while searching for raxxla. You could keep track of what is left to search and do a more concentrated one. It would make it easier to do an exhaustive search of things like the bubble much quicker. Maybe EDSM could do a raxxla search map. It may not require much more than making a map with reverse colors from their current data.

It doesn't - kind of. I used three-letter combinations that brought up results in the list box - so, for example, RAG- brought up several items, then I moved to RAH-, etc. Some combinations brought no results whatsoever.

It takes about two minutes to type 'RA' in the galaxy map search box and click through all the systems. None of them have names that are interesting.

Unless you count Rakka, which has a L-class star in the system.

I have updated my list of 'RA XX-L A' systems, if anyone needs something to visit in the black:

I have to say, if FDev have 'hidden' Raxxla in a system with 'RA XX-L A' in the name I'll consider it an even bigger disappointment than the Zurara.

Its all even more disappointing than that even. There will be whole new levels of human disappointment in this thread when the "truth" comes out about Raxxla.

Of course that is the nature of trying to find something that doesn't exist. You can never really prove to them it doesn't exist. They will always just claim that we haven't searched good enough yet. Despite people essentially trampling over every piece of countryside on Earth and there being little left to explore except maybe the bottom of the ocean, People still think Bigfoot exists.

-"Raxxla is missing?!?!?"
-"Working as intended..."

They probably haven't. All the systems are Y or T class stars. Would also be a bit more than a little bit obvious.

I don't know if it's the case with any of the systems in your list, but there are a few Ax-y named stars that are M types.

In addition, I once found an ELW in orbit around an M type star.

It's not outside the bounds of possibility for Raxxla to meet both criteria.

Would you prefer a marker on the galaxy map saying “Ere be Drrrragons!”?? :)

Why does Raxxla have to be an ELW? Have I missed a clue?
