There was a hexagon on Saturn in the horizons. It strongly resembles the Raxxla emblem, but we also didn't find anything there

But here's another interesting thing. To what is the carrier parked at Tionisla 9? and why are the planets/moons grouped like that considering it's a handmade system (moved along with a group of planets from Elite 1984).
carrier coordinates in Tionisla 9 a + b, but there are no such coordinates on the system map
Tionisla a and Tionisla b are very very close to each other, so a gate can be placed between them

I did not find the magazine itself: Micro Bit Computer Magazine 1990, so I will use an extract from another person:

The original Raxxla is a planet with a Coriolis station also named "Raxxla" in Galaxy 9, Andromeda.

Raxxla itself is a feudal world with reptile race with higher technology level than humans. Raxxlans were extremely hostile to every other race. War was what they loved and aimed for. Raxxla itself is not hard to find. Raxxlans will attack without hesitation giving out their location. The closer you get more aggressive they become. Anyone in their territory must be Elite or die. They will give the permit to enter their station after you have proven your skills in battles against them.

Raxxlans had a formed a trade partnership and military alliance with Dark Wheel in 3025. Dark Wheel had an agricultural settlement on the planet Soonji, which was named after Soontil. Only 100 Elite level commanders were allowed to have a residence on this planet due fact Raxxlans did not want large and permanent human settlements near their territory. Soonji was known as a paradise for retirement.

While the alliance was maintained 100 years the trading kept only a few Elites rich. It is known from history that all the snake ships and the first type of Coriolis stations are Raxxlan designed. The Raxxlans were proud reptiles and they named their ships after their feared relatives. This was to remind human beings to respect them while using them.

The trade and military union ended when Dark Wheel entered the forbidden Raxxlan territory with a generation ship. This broke the deal that was made between humans and reptiles. Raxxlans arranged clan wars to declare owners of the systems.

Ben Ryder wanted to get his own deals with Raxxlans and built his own gateway in 3125. This was the only known way to find Raxxla without deeper involvement with the Dark Wheel.

The only way to get to Raxxla was to use Ben Ryder's gateway which was located near Lave and Tionisla system. The only way to find the gateway was to visit Lave Station, ask for permission from Ben Ryder and fly around clockwise around Lave system to Tionisla. The trip had to be not less than 7 to 9 jumps before entering the secret system from Tionisla to the hidden system with the gateway.

The gateway itself was located near the last ringed planet where a battle took place against Allied Police force which was trying to get the ring to their use. The gateway has been lost since Dark Wheel hid it in 3126 due a war against Raxxlans.

Technically Raxxlans had a transport system to transfer the planet from system to other systems. The system looked like 5 large towers at both poles of the planet. Therefore it is extremely plausible that Raxxlan planet has been relocated and can be basically found anywhere. Therefore the current location of the planet is unknown.
I'm sorry to tell you but the micro-bit magazine thing is a hoax . No such article ever existed.

By the way, also an interesting point. when creating the 1984 elite, the guys used a unique function and algorithm using assembler to generate the names of the planets, assign attributes and save computer memory of those years, which actually created galaxies for the 1984 elite with unique names and attributes, which were deliberately reduced to 8 galaxies, but theoretically much more could be generated there .Now, if we have math geniuses, using this math, at what point can we have the planet Raxxla at some stage of generation? maybe this will shed some light on this mystery ... at least we will know that this is a planet

Unfortunately the algorithm cannot produce raxxla. It uses three letter sub phrases, none of which could combine to produce raxxla. This is all documented in detail on the old oolite wiki. And there is code out there if you are interested. Google is your friend..

Well, I've run out of ideas for now. such a huge number of people and communities looking for an answer, so many different ways and .. something is not right here

Oh, I’m convinced its location will be glaringly obvious, once (i.e. if) we find it!
And I think it will be close to the centre of the bubble.
Michael Brookes did say it has to be “ a little bit obvious so people know what they are doing”, we just haven’t been looking at it in the right way, yet. But then, if it was easy the Quest wouldn’t be any fun!

I have a few more ideas I want to check out, but home improvement season has started....

What if we have all ready found it? We just don't know yet, because we haven't been able to activate the portal.

If we compare what Rafe Zetter says about Raxxla in the Dark Wheel, it matches rader well with the Guardian ruins.

Rafe describes Raxxla:
1. 'Raxxla's no alien, Alex. It's a ghost world. A planet. A legend…'
2. on Raxxla there's an alien construct that's a gateway to other Universes, and all that's in those Universes in the way of bounty, and treasures, and aliens, and life…
3. there are people on Raxxla already. This is only a guess, mind you, but from what happened to Jason I'd say it was close to being right. We've long suspected that a corps of Elites lives there, and are exploiting the gateway. They're powerful, twisted men. Powerful enough to hire an assassin to kill the threat to their dominance.'

1. Guardian planets are definitely ghosts words. No one is alive, but the ruins lives on and are still active.
2. Guardian ruins are portals to the guardian network. It's not unlikely that Guardian AI (constructs) lives in the network as sentient virtual beings in a full virtual universe.
3. In Premonition it was revealed that the existens of Guardian ruins were leaked by the Club. The Club are powerfull and twisted. They also seem to have advanced technological knowledge, they can leak when needed.

So? Do we have the door, but haven't figured out the key or is Raxxla the part we are still missing?

Would answer “place that is not a place”, but “door that is also the key”?
Get keys from Guardian beacons...anybody tried using them in the ruins other than to get Guardian blueprints?

However MB said Raxxla is a definite place, and IMHO I don't think a Guardian virtual network fits that.

However my hypothesis that it is one of the Guardian ark ships mentioned in Ram Tah’s translation would. Why would FD mention them if they’re not part of the storyline? Moreover Ive been pondering the translation of Shinrarta Dezhra (“In life she saw hope”) and it would make sense if one of those ark ships came to Sol or SD and the “she” was a Guardian, and she founded the PF to get humanity combat fit for the Thargoid struggle.

So I still think Raxxla is in/near Sol or SD, and we just haven’t found the gateway to it. And I still can’t get that Blue Danube tribute to 2001 Space Odyssey (an odyssey is “a journey” that anyone might make!) and that 2001SO interstellar gateway was found near Jupiter, and the ED “Mars Relic” was (according to Allen Stroud’s thesis) originally supposed to have been returned by a probe from orbit around Europa.....

About the guardian part:
  • The key just lay on the ground in module/weapon guardian structures (those that don't need a key).
  • They Keys/Relics don't open the bunkers, though we can cleary see in some of those that there are symbols behind the gates.
  • I don't know if bunkers are bugged or we havent found how to open them but it's a shame it stayed in front of us for years...

Mm, has anyone tried to enter the beacons to see if they’re the “gateway”?
Or tried to use the key at the beacons?

Edit: just random musings!!

I just remembered to check for system map ghosts in Odyssey. They are at least still present in Alpha Cygni. The two ghosts are in the same place they always were. Had to wait a few minutes and they can get obscured behind the new black label at the bottom of the map.

Whilst Ghroth sings his song.

But seriously, HPL references haven’t reared their heads much in ED. If MB did write/was integral to implementing Raxxla it’s pretty likely he would include some direct/ indirect reference to HPL, and to some extent I feel they have, especially regarding the narrative.

The Pleiades featured heavily in HPL works, so does Delphi, so I imagine that might be relevant.

I’m unsure, as I’m no HPL fan.
