I went to Lawd 26 last night
made the mistake of taking 16 trinkets
I do nothing but kill all day, take the interdictions I have earned and turn them into bounties.
I did not get 1 second of peace, the moment I entered I was interdicted by 4 ships at once
they were a very over active crowd, left them behind only to get 5 more as soon as I got back into SC.
so, switched to Odyssey.
same thing. nice, I almost never get interdicted in Odyssey, suddenly its non-stop?
so, I parked it for the night.
Apparently something about me or the trinkets is not welcome in Lawd 26. - the exact opposite of a bad rumor.
there is a reason for 16 btw. every station I visit wants 16, 16 keys/tones
and 1 makes the occasional sound. 16 won't shut-up.
that story or those missions may be dead, but I find it odd that so many stations want 16. that was when 16 musical notes popped into a thought. more than enough to mimic/create/replicate real sound.
Due to me and BGS, I pay close attention to demand, and a trick I learned many years ago is to visit stations with 1 of everything in my hold, this shows more details of what they do and don't want.

pirates don't seem concerned at all or behave any different when I carry 1 or 2. they got pretty upset when I was carrying 16. or suddenly the game just got mad at me and made all the interdictors go crazy. it was not normal. they became much more aggressive.
I fight often with a cutter full of stuff, so I know the difference. these guys were aggrevated and moving more erratic and rammy than usual.
the ambient galaxy music, they like and seem to join in. in a 2 minute loop I get about 15 seconds of silence.
and the pattern is normally 1 interdictor, then over the next few minutes more will join in. it is very rare that I get more than 2 ships in the actual interdiction, 4 and 5 was not expected. multi interdictors usually wipe each others interdiction out.

that is the 2nd time I have been in Lawd 26 according to my logs. and bare bones logs at that. much more to test there.
the log from 2016 has nothing but the star in it. this one wasn't much better, except I hate carriers in fss and in logs.

I had sold mine before I went out to Beta Hydrae. After my return yesterday evening this afternoon I got 4 more, from a Dolphin carrying 130! The local pirates had a feeding frenzy!!
Decided to retry Beta Hydrae with trinkets aboard!...
But BBC News has interrupted play...
 
oo, would have been nice to empty his hold.
I am only selling to stations in qty of 16, to see if there is ever any reaction that is useful.
but my main concern is seeing if they ever do anything useful...I wish I could hang them from the rearview....o, no rearview...dumb ship.

you can just transfer them to a carrier, you don't have to have secure storage unless you want to sell to others.
I have no plans for ever going below 16 in storage, hundreds would make this easier.
 
The recent imagry things got me back to a post I made back in 2016.....Now the post is nowhere to be found however I mentioned the below words/code being seen on the rear corners of the Cobra MKIII.....they are still there, can anyone make them out on their own cobra

The strange loss of your FSD supercharge, was that a one time thing or does it always happen? I’ll switch to my long range jumpaconda and take a look myself if you still think there is something of interest. I was recently sent back to Jameson by an unfortunate goid hyperdiction so I have my choice of vessels at the moment.
 
Could it be in response to my post in the Suggestion thread, where I mention that an update about Raxxla/TDW availability in game would be welcome, just to confirm after all these patches, updates, releases...?

there is no sign of guardians or ships
thargoids are everywhere
the story of Astrophel makes me think it was once used and is it possible that is what we are seeing?

I also have not a lot of respect for a race that fought a great enemy, then left lousy clues to next to useless things, then vacated the premesis.

if it were us, and we defeated the Thargoids...would we have done the same? NOT a CHANCE!

And f they got their claws on guardian secrets and toys, that would explain why there are none anywhere for us to see.
the remnants of the guardian sites as far as I have so far seen gave mostly useless items, nothing worthy of a race that may have defeated Thargoids.
fsd booster aside.
maybe that's our fault for not sweeping all the dirt off the sites to see what the ???? is underneath?

I think its the first time its ever happened to me. Once supercharged it normally stays with the ship until an fsd jump. Though the inability to use the supercharge isn’t, that does happen on occasions but usually I can clear it by changing the settings in the galmap, clearing & replotting the route.

I intend to retry Beta Hydrae, this time with some Trinkets in the hold. In particular I want to retry the comet search method, because that failing (to fail & crash the game) was the one thing that really raised my eyebrows.

I started in Horizons then switched to Odyssey. With updates now only apparently happening to EDO I will maybe try both again; I much prefer the graphics in Horizons.

Three suns, maybe a ternary system L, Y, T in the Crane constellation (Lyta Crane, where the remaining A refers to a planet orbiting the first star?), I take only the first three letters because a brown dwarf would not be gravitational centre for a main sequence A star, and the picture shows only three "stars" (if they are even stars)?
