Acknowledging this is total wackadoodle, no evidence whatsoever, just random unconscious brain sneeze caused by cheese dreams whilst reading Milton…

“To the jewel that burns on the brow of the mother of galaxies!”

On the brow of the crystalline sphere, the sphere of Urania, the goddess of astronomy (of all stars) where Lucifer first walked upon during his journey he saw heavens gate, beset by blazing jewels and gems…upon the brow of the spheres…

Not from John Milton, but an interpretation (paraphrased) of the ‘Parallel Prose’ edition referenced my MB.

I need to stop reading Milton methinks.
Is the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter modelized in Elite?

The thing i love and hate about this hunt is the lack of info, i mean your brain will literally make anything work in order to justify your time :D

But on that note, those trinkets - are they what the things required for The Dark Wheel missions you can no longer get?
If it is your thinking, i like your thinking that it was a hint, after all they were treasure hunters. But once again a hint to what, float the Galaxy with a hold of things in hope of something...

Trinkets we’re very recently identified via FD (in this thread) to be linked to the ‘story’ tied to those old DW missions out of SD, which are now confirmed as removed. Although still an active commodity FD confirmed trinkets were just a curiosity at best, they may turn that ‘story’ back on in the future.

What that all means is still open to interpretation, that’s not for us to rule out they don’t have another function, although FD hasn’t alluded this, it’s a presumption…

To aid our collective foolery regard’s audio being located, please record it, so it can be reviewed, tested and replicated and compared.

I’d test them myself but my PC is in dry dock and can’t record audio on console, at least not as well as one can on PC.

No, I disagree. You are conflating several independent puzzles. Tionisla, Soontill and Raxxla are unrelated puzzles. Have you read the Elite Dangerous books? There are half a dozen books which FD promoted at the outset of the game to provide extended lore and greater depth to the game for players (many would argue the only depth to the game, but make your own mind up about that). Some bits of those books were partly implemented in-game.

Soontill is a storyline in “And Here The Wheel”. Tionisla and Zurara and Dynasty are storyline topics in Drew Wagars “Reclamation” & “Premonition”. Raxxla does not appear anywhere in any of the books! (Well, there’s a throw-away mention of the name but no relevant information in AHTW). Raxxla crops up in Premonition IIRC, but is not relevant to it. The book authors were told by FD that Raxxla was off-limits to them and reserved for FD alone. We are still trying to discover what FD have put about Raxxla in-game. As far as we can see the only book that connects to Raxxla is Robert Holdstock’s original “The Dark Wheel” novella which was written for the original 1984 version of Elite, & is available online here: http://www.iancgbell.clara.net/elite/dkwheel.htm

Elite Dangerous is the first time that Raxxla has been implemented in any of the Elite games. We do not know how the ED implementation of Raxxla corresponds to Holdstock’s concept, but many of us think it unlikely that there is any strong resemblance. That it will be a nice easter egg tribute to Holdstock, but nothing more.

There is a totally separate “Oolite” game which was written as a tribute to Elite, and Drew Wagar wrote half a dozen books related to that game; but they are totally fan fiction and not related to ED in any way so dont get confused betwen them (they are good reads though, and free).

You said you are currently travelling out to Zurara. Be sure to visit the Dynasty Plot surface bases in the region (see the Canonn website for locations). They are an essential part of the discovery of that Plot, and reading the beacons gives you several million credits each time. IIRC one was hidden part way down a steep cliff, but can be accessed; the gravity is low so if your SRV slips you should survive & call your ship down to escape. Or maybe you could do the investigation in foot in Odyssey? that could be cool.

edit: after you scan a beacon & get each Intel report in your transaction tab take a screenshot for proof in the event of a support ticket. You only get the payment when you return to a station and turn it in. There's a handy station in Heart & Soul Neb. For some reason one disappeared from my ship so I never got the payment. Was miffed!!
Thats fair, I still believe that narrowing the search - confirming TDW and checking out systems related to multiple theories will if at the least close that portion of the loop.

I will definately head for the beacons as I did find the Zurara a bit underwhelming but hearing how FDev voiced the logs was insiteful.

I am still reading Preminition and am looking forward to reading more of the stories as well.

@Ataxia

EDDiscovery has just had an update. Discovery Observer - Find interesting bodies out there in the cosmos. 60+ built in searches for things like close binaries, planets within rings, etc. So sounds like it will replace EDObservatory.
I was looking at it a while ago but didn't quite seem 'updated' I will definately take another go. My biggest issue will be solved once I have migrated to PC from console and can actually use the journal "live" as opposed to sync'd to inara / eddm and then back to my pc where I can track the journal with the apps.

Not only does it match the pattern, it has whales on it. Just saying.

"A third soon" from OP post you mention, like the three flares on the image posted by FD... ?

Well, Ive wondered if the point of MB’s tattoo was to emphasise the journey to Eden/Paradise Lost & Regained (didnt Milton also write Paradise Regained?). The message being whatever journey/mythology you want, you end up at the destination....
Which would take me back to my Alpha Centauri/Eden hypothesis (search this thread); but I searched for comets in ACent last week (see my sheet) but couldnt detect any-however when I was out at Eden a year so so ago I kept seeing npc appear out of nowhere which on current form seems often to be comet positions. Is there a way the search method perhaps is not detecting all of them? Maybe a physical range limit within system?
Big system. Could something silently orbit Proxima at an indecent distance? Theoretically, could a station directly orbit a star? Something nobody notices?
But it is a fairly scouted system, from eddb.io :
24430 ships passed through Alpha Centauri space, including 108 ships in the last 7 days.
14 ships passed through Alpha Centauri space in the last 24 hours.

Perhaps in fss, altering the targeted frequencies will have an effect on the audio heard?

Well, we'll probably know there is one from the FSS, as the number of extra signals appears to be 2 now not the 1 that we had been seeing. Once a third one appears, that's when to start looking for a third.

well, as I tried to indicate by my post, it sounds like 1 is trying to converse in english
it sounds like at least 2 groaners communicating with each other in the same groan style.

and yes, I have the recordings I described. otherwise I would not have bothered to describe what I heard.
I spent way too much effort over the years pasting images and video's in the forums and it changed again and again.
point is, I put text in the forums. anything else I create or find or whatever can be shared but not by me fiddling with 3ed part sites to put a link here.
discord works.

Want to add, the reason I do it my way now instead of years ago. I was busy. Others were doing this. Others gave up. Most with words of discredit to fdev for broken things. also the removed things. (removed, possibly for a reason we have to discover, maybe someone triggered the next stage and walked away)
I do it because I do not believe them. Definitely don't believe in them or their style or methods.

I have uncovered and done too many things myself that others said can't be done. to believe what they have said.
And there are things to find, still.
I spend much effort trying to discover how certain things interact or react. more along the lines of exploding things....a few stations I would like erased....
I do spend most of my time on my BGS, even though there is no point. it is hard to break a habit that is a habit.
my time between helping my npc's and other stuff , I spend trying to find new ways to do things or get things, etc...

team effort is required. I am a bad team, but I tend to never give up. And I like helping.
and it would be nice if all my carriers and vast collection of ships didn't get blown up any time soon. and my npc's.
