It may only be you (in which case I think it is worth following up) or it maybe a side-effect of 2.4 mission system changes and the same for everyone (in which case I think it's noteworthy but nothing special).

So can anyone else check? (FYI I can't, I'm north of Colonia).

My point was that it can't be that strategy. That strategy only works if you can hide your forces somewhere that the enemy can't see. Col 70 is locked to independent commanders, but it's not locked to all of humanity.

Thinking of going over Tionisla with a fine toothed comb. Im thinking there may be a timed event that only happens so often. Does anyone have any info on things that have been tried there? Now that im looking deeper into it, im not sure its even in the game?

Tonight I tracked Elena Markow flying in a Python through 5 systems. Almost lost her at LHS 2313 at an outpost, was lucky to follow an anonymous wake and found her again. One stop was curious, she travelled 317KLs to Crucis Sector DB-X b1-6 B 4, a landable Ice body, and immediately jumped out again. Quite possibly just a random stop in a random system...

Currently she's in supercruise in Crucis Sector HH-V b2-7, and I think that's the end of the road for her, because she's been here for 30 mins just hanging in sc.

Anyway I'll spend some time looking at Crucis Sector DB-X b1-6 B 4, you know, just in case.

Well, that would not be consistent with what he says. He actually speaks of a landable rocky planet, which results then unlandable when he tries to land on, (like if he played without Horizons). He says he didn't even know about the Raxxla thing, until an other threader pointed him to the wiki.
Now he seems overexcited. He's going to spend the night coming back to the bubble to save the data. We might, if it's not a hoax, know more in a few hours. I keep surveying that french thread.

I just picked up a delivery mission at Merope5C (cant see any differences from2.3, other than the barney is surrounded by bright green goo) to meet aguy in Maia, get some data from him and deliver to Darnielles Progress... in Maia. Odd I thought, then found the Pilots Federation there.

If he did, he's going to be disappointed. :cool: And besides, he says he's 15kly's outside the bubble. Those guys are at least 44kly's...depending on the route.

Also,

In reading through the jv.com thread, it seems a little fishy to me. He claims to have honked the system and one of the planets was named "?". I've never seen a planet named anything after a honk, only "unexplored." Anyhow, passing that, he then says that he scanned it and it was only a rocky world...he seems to imply that it was a landabe world and that he has Horizons but that he was unable to land on it. He later goes on to say that he's 3kly's from the system but that he'll head back there and take screenshots and hot-foot it back to the bubble to tag the system.

Raxxla, an unlandable rocky world? Eh...I hope not.

Sounds like a server connection problem to me. We had a lot of similar occurrences at the beginning of Horizons.

Wonder if it's tied into the third party api problems and one I have since the last update. For a couple of days noticed it took really long to bring up the system map but about 3 days ago it got fast but started returning less information when DSS'ing stars and bodies as well getting no materials list returned scanning landable bodies.

Bug-reported but as usual no response.

Was wondering if others are seeing things like this exploring?

So, is this thread now the home-away-from-home for locked-out independent Rifters? Anyone know why the Formidine Rift thread was locked down (without any apparent warning or explanation)?

Also, was just in Shinrarta where I am allied with the Dark Wheel, and no sign of any of the old potentially Raxxla-related missions there at all anymore (Obfuscated in the Outer Rim, etc.). Anyone know if these missions are actually still available anywhere? Last known sighting?

Current speculation on the thread linked off of AndyJ's post above seems to be that all "Founder or Elite" missions were removed when they removed rank requirements from the mission system. It would be nice to have that confirmed, and know whether they will come back. And if their absence might be inhibiting or preventing finding Raxxla (or anything else) in any way.
