It was discovered in 2014, just about the time Elite was released. I don't know when Stellar Forge was developed for Elite, but since the discovery occurred with stellar forge being created about the same time, I don't think Frontier put it in the galaxy. Since it also does not have an alternate designation in other star catalogs, there is no other star designation to use in the GM. It is 870LYs from earth, but it did not give a direction. I wish GM had an option to enter stellar coordinates as opposed to star names, then GM could point you in the vacinity and we could just fly there.

This call allows you to enter x/y/z and returns systems in a sphere with a radius of your choice.

Search for it but seems not been posted before ?

Mutabilis

Eight channels containing the witchspace energy.
There are eight chart.
A point from which all the galactic witchspace wormholes are sustained.
Raxxla is the mechanism that keeps them open, generates them in the first place.
Raxxla isn't a portal, or time machine by design but an alien construction that underpins the very fabric of witchspace.
Linked to space and time.
Witchspace itself is a manufactured construct.
Raxxla is a hub, a centre point for those wormholes.
Every time you take a witchspace jump, you're passing through Raxxla.

Sorry to disappoint. Unfortunately Mutabilis, while a good read from our friend Drew Wagar, like all his Oolite series of novels, is fan fiction and not canon for ED.

Raxxla is Zeta Microscopii A 4 planet in Zeta Microscopii system.

Yeah, it's probably not there. It would have been pretty funny if it turned out to be a literal jewel, rather than the metaphor everybody is looking for.

I you intend on heading back, I would recommend checking out the Cygnus X Complex: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cygnus_X_(star_complex)

It should fit well with Gan Romero's comment about 'an area of space, not black but radiant…glowing like heaven’.
I've tried to find this by searching for BD+40 4210, BD+43 3654, v729 Cygni and v1489 Cygni (aka NML Cygni). None of these show up as these names in-game and neither they nor several alternate names (from 2mass or Tycho catalogues) are in EDSM. This is one of the largest star-forming regions in the Milky Way, with ten times the mass of the Orion Nebula Complex, yet I see no sign of it, or its highest-mass stars, on the Galaxy Map!

I've moved on to Colonia. I don't plan to stay long but I won't get back quite as quickly as I went out (the ship I'll use on the way back has a range of just over 38LY on a full tank).

I wonder if someone at FD was into the Deadspace series. I mean... if you have ever played Deadspace you might notice the similarities between Deadspace and the FD stations. Every time I docked I always thought of Deadspace. Also, Aegis.

I played 1-3, but I don't remember anything that would be similar to what is in Elite. It has been a while, though. Do you have any examples?

Look up Aegis 7. Aegis Core. If you mission for them they do go nuts on additional missions. I just had to quickly do three in the last hour after accepting a delivery mission from Sol with these guys. It was nice as I was in the black for a bit and need to to 'kill someone'. :)

you mean like the fact that I always have terrifying hallucinations at the least opportune times?

That's the point, though. Everybody avoids what seems to be the most obvious. I'm trying everything from the most simple ideas, to the most outlandish. Even if it doesn't turn up anything, it could give someone an idea.
I agree. That's why I stopped looking for non-elite related reference material. Ancient poetry and parallax aren't obvious to the average gamer(Fortnite and yeet?). Whatever actual clues there might be are probably in game or some official frontier related elite book.

I'm mostly focusing on old lore and anything that might be unique. For an example of something unique, there is only one 2MASX object out of the 400 billion stars in the game. Makes me wonder why they would even add it at all. If I remember correctly, it's just a red dwarf with no planets.

I'm trying to find other catalogs that only have a few stars represented in game.

I just did some searches for the creators of the game, "DAVID", "BROOKS" (although I think it's Brookes) as well as "MARS" and they all take you on a wild ride through the bubble, but none of them leave the bubble.
What about Robert Holdstock or Steven Eisler. When hiding Raxxla, it must have been tempting to pay tribute to the late, great, author that dreamed it up all those years ago. Would also be a little obvious....

I searched Holdstock and ended up with 10 results, but they all turned out to be stations and bases. That was the end of that for me. It is possible that there is something that could be searched which would indicate some kind of path, but I don't think common names or names associated with the game will work. That leaves that theory as open as any other. We simply wouldn't know what to search.
