Both The Dark Wheel and CIEP have circular references in their names. A dark matter halo spreads out from the galactic centre in the Milky Way. Witch space? Speedier tunnels to other parts of galaxy?
The whole INRA and The Club thread in ED I feel has more purpose with relation to Raxxla. Other than the beacon in Soontill is there more lore on CIEP?

Perhaps the Dark Wheel really simply wishes to gather these pseudo-elites in one place and resolve the inconsistency? Shadowy arm of Pilots Federation...

'... It's more akin of affiliation of organisations that share common goals. ...'

Alessia Verdi, in 'The founding of the Children of Raxxla'

But in the end I am compiling what I know and writing it down to see if maybe there was something so insanely obvious in there. But the bottom line is I would put money on the fact that it is staring us right in the face.

Imho, it seems clear the "not-insanely-but-tiny-bit-obvious-thing " is the presence of TDW faction in the game and it's former Soontil Relics missions, eventually bugged and actually removed. I bet everything we need is in the FP. Macros did/does a great job.
FDevs, on the contrary... :mad:

Speaking of crazy ... if you read the letters in Raxxla as "medieval Roman numerals" you get the following values:

R = 80
A = 5
X = 10
X = 10
L = 50
A = 5

I was doing some Guardian poking (relating to Raxxla), and remembered this post when I noticed my current coordinates weren't far off if you turned those into X/Z/Y.
Took a look in Galaxy Map, and checked if there were any systems near +/-805 +/-1010 +/-505 (+/-RA+/-XX+/-LA) and there was a system almost right on one of those! :eek: On the rim? Check. A little bit obvious? Kinda check.
Headed out there, but nope... no USS, POIs, stations or rogue planets*.

All I found was a condor(?) way out in the middle of nowhere:

and a lot of black empty space...

* Given the difficulty of dropping on a comet which is known, I do wonder if it's in any way reasonably possible to find a rogue planet by accident.

Possible noon question

Is there a list of systems that can't be reached with current FSD technology? We know Raxxla is out there and there's more than likely still systems unvisited because they're too far out for anyone to reach, I already know of the general area to look for such systems, just wondering if there is a quicker way

now you put down that way

a place that's not a place
a door that's also the key

2 lines 26 characters each

hum,,,
The correct quote from the mission is:
Place that isn't a place,
Door that is also the key.
The Myth.
So, still 26 characters long but only when including punctuation.
If we're going to assume this is a riddle then "the Myth" is probably also important.

Honestly, I believe that Raxxla is only visible to a quad-Elite player, maybe also needing max Fed and Imperial ranks and max Alliance rep. When it's visible that's when we need to know where to look, and I'm sure the missions will appear then to help us find the way.

So when I asked before there was a triple-Elite player but no quad-Elite player. Anyone care to admit they're played more CQC than is healthy? :D

Of course DB said it was in the game before CQC launched... Hence why i think only Triple Elite would be the max, and more likely only a single elite, or if in Shinratra a potentially non-Elite Founder pass holder, is required.

A bit more Sirius nonsense.

Sirius B will be in apoapsis(furthest away from it's orbits CG), in 2019.
9034475.png

In game the system has an orbital period of 18149.7 days or 49.7 years.

2019 + (49,7 * 16) = 2814.2. Meaning that Sirius B would be in apoapsis in 2814.

Ten more laps and we have the next one in 3311.

The wheel of time turns slowly.......

So... the next time Sirius is aligned the same as it was in 2814 will be in 3311?

Would be awesome if they'd calculated this to be once the initial 10 years plan is over they can do the leadup to finding Raxxla for year 11 - I'm getting excited just contemplating that level of foreplanning.

This is what I was thinking as what if,,,

The whole thing the original mission texts is setup like koans the resolution of which lead to enlightenment the location of Raxxla.

What if they did something like this: start with a couple of koans, something abstract and nothing to do with ED, perform some operation on them, that can yield a vector, address, name, location something,, use that to place Raxxla. MB said there'd be no clue and these missions haven't been seen again since the beginning. What if they've been withdrawn because when the Gods saw how quickly people were solving other things and if you've created this one you'd think it'll be too easy. The real trick may be that western culture has it's head stuck up it's own ssa so much it can't see anything else so the riddle can hide in plain sight.

Curiously the first one is a known koan the answer to which is "memory". There's also formal logic here of A equals A not which is identity in eastern logic not A equals A where western logic stats. Is the fact the first is a known koan a clue that this is the way to go?

The second line not so easy and not a know koan or I haven't found it around but similar ones suggest this means minding/perception/seeing,,,something along those line and I can't see the formal logic in the line...

so or the two line,,xor the two lines, something??

memory
perception
myth

?????????????????????

not satisified

Anyhoo they're meant to be mind worms and could as easily be crow bait.

caw caw caw

I remember Braben saying follow the missions. Now i dont know what exactly he was refereeing too, but if we follow the missions from Shinrata via organisations connected to the Dark Wheel etc but it might lead some were. It will be a massive grind getting rep with each faction, but have we not all done that before. i see a lot of work has gone into this from the start. did the trail end.

I am near to be allied with every single faction (as far as I know ..) involved in these Elite missions. Some weird things already happened but nothing conclusive. Keeping on just to not let loose ends.

I became allied with all of them (including TDW of course) and then noticed I was getting mysterious stranger missions. Not sure if coincidence or not. Must get round to doing the missions..

Quad-elite guys? Really!?!?

To think raxxla requires quad-elite status is utter nonsense, raxxla, and I quote "is a journey we all will take" such requirements would from a developer standpoint would prevent most players from ever finding it, remember it's ultimate goal for straight explorers. Raxxla is more than likely a system that is out of the highest possible jump ranges. It's the only sure-fire way to prevent players from finding it before it is complete. Think like a developer not a commander

Nice ! What a grind ! Do you remember the speech some of these factions said when you first met them ? Nothing special ?

I've gotten a handful of those as well. I believe it has more to do with RNGesus than it does anything else. All of them led to some airless rock with a huge fortification on it that I had to fight my way through for a data packet that paid well less than the repairs to my ship. Mysterious stranger indeed.

Or, maybe a little more ham-fisted but, it's simply behind a permit locked system.
