Tin foil time… The toast of raxxla

To the jewel that burns on the mother of all galaxies!

The jewel I’m sure is life, read somewhere… According to the character Luko Prestigio Giovanni, "Shinrarta Dezhra" means Life?

To the whisperer in Witchspace, the siren of the deepest void!

I think the whisper in witch space is the frameshift drive as it whispers through, not actually goes there. As for the siren (a half woman and half bird, whose beautiful singing encouraged sailors to sail into dangerous waters where they died (eek why do we want to find the place)) could be a wake signature at Shinrarta’s deepest void.

there's a narrative that fdev started back in jacques jump days and the missing vice president days that there was singing in hyperspace and odd lights.. Like there were life forms that lived inside hyperspace trying to communicate.

That pretty much died out.

Though, it would be interesting if raxxla (like as been theorized before) existed inside hyperspace as a sort of bubble of 3d space ...a bubble universe. and that there could be some kind of permanent wake signature that leads to it that you have to find and scan from a certain system (perhaps in a roid field)...in order to reach it.

I was looking at some screen shots i took over the past year. after some recent discussion where someone posted the inside of a Coriolis station comparing it to the raxxla symbol, i couldnt help but start counting the lights around a 'wheel' station (toroid?). Anyways, is it just me or is there the same number of lights as the dots/dashes in the raxxla image?

Or is it space madness?

P.S. i ran out of tin foil a few months back....

p.p.s i just mean the outer most set of lights around the inner ring

it's 32 for both rings if you consider those doubles.

The back of jameson is interesting. It may be a graphics thing but the line looks like it's in dashes from the angle. Are there any bases with a 6 sided shape on the back like that? I know some bases have 6 engine pods, but I don't think they have those lines. Is it possible there is something very blunt. Do we check the back of most bases?

In fact the back of those pods are six sided and look just like the raxxla symbol. Except the 3 dash lines are straight instead of curved... that is fairly similar in many ways to the Raxxla symbol. And there are six of them if you consider the middle one. Is there a geometric relation to those two shapes if you consider 3d or 4d or other logic? Would any aspect of these or the raxxla symbol convert to the other?

Found this also. Did anyone figure out the lave coordinates on this item?

speaking of "Nonesnsical", could you have an idea what this is, theres These Markings. Numbers and Barcodes on the Canisters aswell. since u seem to know your ciphers. i mean it seems to say "Lave" on it. soo
(its on the standard cargo canisters / Research Sample cargo canisters if your asking)
maybe it ties in with your findings.

Appears to say something like:

Lave
(C/O) 208(5/3) (degree 8 / %?) 77
??

Is it a planetary coordinate. Can we land on lave(maybe soon! 8p)? Is it for planet C2? Maybe the asteroid belt 2(Castellan2) or 02085?

C20 85deg 877?!

BTW, does the back of jameson memorial station change or was the previous picture doctored?

James Memorial picture I took was not edited in anyway. I will mention this was on the PS4 and not on my PC Elite Dangerous Account.

Why are there differences in the given information in the side screen. Why doesn't PC give that info when you look at the station. Was I targeting it differently? And then does it change with state of system or the biggest owner or is the graphical nature different in general between versions of the game?!

If so could we use different versions of the game to see it in different states at the same time.

Is the same BGS in all versions?!

I'm on PC running in linux via wine. Did I loose any graphics? It's possible some don't show because of translation from DX to Opengl. I didn't think there was much in elite, but I could be wrong. Sometimes in other games with wine it changes surface textures.

There was that weird surface texture that looked like a bunch of nobs painted on in the middle of the back center shape. Maybe that is a graphics glitch.

I'll add a close up pic of the center. It's hard to see in the one I took.

If these are odd graphical glitched this may make raxxla hunting harder for me. Or in a rare case easier, but it useually just puts on random weird graphics on to other surfaces. Like a mountain covered in feathers texture for instance.

Added two more pics. And it does show that data in some circumstances. But why is the back texture different. The lack of those bumps that look like the raxxla image is disappointing. If it's just me that might be an interesting feature.

And it's the same state so that might throw out different bgs...

Not to mention I took the picture from a longer distance so details would vanish so it would be hard to compare between the two. I'm pretty sure draw distance plays a large part in this too between console version and PC.

I'm thinking of going around and taking screen shots of stations and start comparing them. Some of them usually end up being unique like the one in system: LAWD 26 station: Stone Legacy.

Seem like a good idea. Cant hurt at least ill see if i notice anything too around where i patrol and enforce

Funny you should mention that, I was just trawling 'stuff' on the Winking Cat, Galnet, and other sources of information and took a screen shot of this promo piece that happens to have LAWD 26 and Stone's Legacy flagged.

Coincidence?

Just finished watching this vid & found only two interesting things (I’ve done a lot of exploration!). The first thing I was the statement that FD have plans for Gas Giants but he couldn’t talk about them, perhaps that’s one of the enhancements in the major update this year....perhaps floating lifeforms/materials that can be scooped? Or floating landable platforms?
The second thing was that nobody asked anything about Raxxla! 🥺

Oops, remembered during the early hours (insomnia, again!) that there was a third thing I found interesting about the MB exploration vid-he stated that there were dwarf clusters (galaxies? Can’t remember the exact phrasing he used & didn’t note the vid time) in-game that could not be reached yet , implying they could be at some future date. Do we know what these are and the distances involved? Is Raxxla a gateway to these??

Aren't there Shepherd galaxies that orbit the milky way? Much smaller than our own, could be considered dwarf galaxies possibly /suggestion

Jorki, good luck with your puppers

Yes, the Milky Way has quite a few satellites as I recall. I’m wondering if that’s what Raxxla is about, the original “gateway to other galaxies” in Holdstock’s TDW novella, though FD said categorically they’d only represented one galaxy- the Milky Way.

Thanks mate! Hopefully this will lead to a diagnosis of what’s causing his weekly fits since mid December. Which is contributing to my insomnia as they’ve all been in the small hours...😔

Why would anyone think the contra code would work in elite. I mean they could put it in, but it's kind of obvious as a joke.

Contra code was also, "up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Start." It was on the original Nintendo controller. Beat the game without it actually. And I think in contra it gave you more than lives I think it made you invincible or gave full weapons and stuff too.(maybe not)

I forget how and when you stuck in the code, but what if you have to put it in while the drive is booting for those 5 seconds or something. There could be a time to enter it. There are three phases to boot. 15 seconds minimum for the drive to boot. 5 seconds to enter the warp with a timer. 15 seconds to go through the tunnel to the next system. any one of those phases could be used to enter a code hypothetically.

First id heard of it but consider me told :)

Only few issues with it are, 1 its a loading screen, 2 DB has said there are no other galaxies, and 3 Fdev have said no mis-jumps in game. (tbh I think hes prob a bit peed off with the question, I mean, here he is, designing a galaxy with 400bn systems and less than 1% explored and yet people keep asking about another one)

I think the clusters MB referred to just meant clusters of systems in the GalMap that were or maybe are unreachable currently (he was maybe speaking pre Engineers and certainly pre Synthesis as he refers to this as an upcoming solution) There are still Stars that are unreachable, not sure about clusters though, no reason why not a few of then together just out of reach.

Ok, on a few different occasions, I have seen repostings of this hoax and friends have brought up OA's April Fools Video claiming Raxxla has been found and to use a set of keystrokes in the Jump sequence to deactivate the jump and find yourself in a system containing Raxxla. Folk's. If you have not already figured this out to be false and a joke, let me put this to rest right now.

The sequence of keystrokes OA refers to is known as the "Konami Code". It was developed way back in 1985, Kazuhisa Hashimoto was working on the arcade game Gradius. Because he didn’t want to actually play the whole game during the testing process, he developed a little shortcut that gave him a full set of power-ups, letting him live long enough to easily get to where he needed to without dying. When the game went live in 1986, the code was still there. To get full power-ups, all a player had to do was enter the code up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A. The trick caught on, and soon, the so-called “Konami Code” could be found in a number of arcade and video games. Most notably, it gave you 30 extra lives in Contra. This super-secret (…or not) code has a special place in the hearts of geeks who have since grown up and used the insider code in websites, in movies, and on TV shows.

Folks, THIS Konami Code DOES NOT WORK IN ELITE. But it may work in a few other places on the internet.

Here's a little twist on the code: Go to a Google search bar, then use Google Voice to search for "Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right." (No "b" or "a" necessary.) It unlocks a Google "cheat mode" that will make you laugh. Or at least roll your eyes.

So, in conclusion, don't waste any more time, effort, breath or text by continually posting this to other sites or making any more jokes to friends about it. In my opinion, it has gone way beyond funny now. OA should be chastized for perpetrating it in the first place.

Just so everyone who is serious about the search finally gets the message, and for those just joining, you have now been officially notified.

Now, having stated this, this is not to say that another sequence of keystrokes, done in some sequence during the Witch Space (Jump Sequence) which has yet to be found, may work.

To this end, I have a Logitech G815 with G-Keys, which I can program a macro to. I am now investigating the possibilities of using different words from the "Search For Raxxla" as macro's to see if anything interesting might happen. I have already tried the following.

1) The Konami Code, of course, and variations which have appeared on the web. Waste of time here.
2) Raxxla
3) David Braben
4) Ian Bell
5) Names from the "Credits" in Elite
6) "Go To Raxxla"
7) Solami
8 Phrases from Robert's book on the Dark Wheel.

So, for anyone with an RGB keyboard with the ability to program and activate macros during the jump sequence, have some fun.

You never know what will happen.

o7......

Funny thing about this, there are a few other non Konami games that have used this code as well and is considered an easter egg of video games.

List of Games that use Konami Code

Edit: The list is incomplete but there are more games that use this code.
