DW in SD - according to lore its not the real one. But according to FF in Codex any sham DW faction is quickly shut down.

Which leaves that the DW in SD is a front for the real DW elsewhere?

Not sure... But just realized the galactic sectors are numbered, not just named .... so apparently the Elysian Shore is sector 33

Yes there are 42 of them, Meaning of Life, just another homage to sci-fi hidden out there

I’ve said it before, but TDW are supposed to be a band of explorers and adventurers. I can’t see assassination missions being at all their style. Might be we have to refuse such missions to gain weight with them! Anybody explored any possible such refusal mechanism?

This leads onto something Ive been wondering. DW expanded into LFT286 and got a base. Within few weeks they were under attack and in Outbreak, now they are at risk of losing the base. Considering that a lot of players must have supported it in that base, who is pushing them back? Was it a mistake that they expanded and now fdev is pushing them back or is an outside force, player or not. at work? Is someone testing the work against them theory and succeeding in LFT 286?

I think the only 'refusal' mechanism that could be counted is to accept and abandon the mission, not sure if just ignoring something has a counter. Could accept and abandon all assassination missions, see what happens?

Concecaled? Your proofing mechanism had a glitch there buddy! 😁

I, like many people I think, have always interpreted the codex Raxxla image as a station; however seeing the image again in your dit above, and the reference to trinkets and SAP8 caused me a mental hiccup. Could it be one of the Guardian objects end-on? Can’t remember, it’s so long since I did anything Guardian related, but I’m sure one of those has a hexagonal cross section? 🧐

Im going to go with "Concecaled " as one of those fancy future words created after the English language underwent the "Great Consonant Addition" of the 22nd century.

ya while im on my long journey ive beeen thinking about all the possible aretfacts i might need... kicking myself for not atleast flying around with a container of trinkets always.

I half wonder if the sap8 "coordinates" were an early attempt at leading us to the guardians.. was the crystal in the fusion core a compass needle? Cant remember if anyone checked SAP8 canisters for alignments like the UAs...

I like the picture of the back of Jameson Station that looks like the raxxla logo...not sure if it is common to all those types of stations.

Raxxla is in 42, obviously! 😁

Then, the gods created the first materials of the universe: fiva (the air), faova (the cosmic cloud) and ie (the smoke). Then, they created the six directions of the material dimension, and in the middle of itugue, the emptiness, they created the centre of power tomsa (bellybutton of the universe). But, still the universe had no consistence, and they waited many bxogonoas aeons until the sas bequia, the beginning of the world.

Good work.

Lyta Crane and the toast are plain DW, so don't expect Raxxla. Look for cold stations at the 8th moons (2F and 6H).

Finished my search of HIP 90883 (T Lyrae A ...), nothing to report!! 6H had already been mapped but did it again just to check. No TDW station appeared at either 2F or 6 H (or any other moon). I’m now thinking TDW and their station aren’t going appear to us until the rep “personal journey” has been completed. The question is who do we have to get allied with to achieve that???

Just been mooching some nearby F & A type systems, just in case the Horizons Start Screen was realistic 😉

Will finish off tomorrow & head back to Sol. Currently on a Lavian brandy break! 🤪

The first thing Rafe Zetter does is train Alex to kill the guy that killed his dad. That sounds like an assassination mission to me. In fact correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't that the entire plot of the story? and then the story ends happily ever after when he completes that mission.

True, but does it ever say that the assassin, or “the evil men inhabiting Raxxla” are TDW? The book title perhaps implies that, but since then FD have retconned everything to the point of utter confusion (for me!)

I have been wondering myself about who to be allied to in order to get the DW to acknowledge me. But the trigger might be that you have to be allied with several factions and once that number is reached you get a call up. Only problem with that is how many faction need to be allied? And I can't believe that trigger has not been reach yet by anyone by now though.

I think it has to be the correct allies! Maybe the hint is to take missions from Mother Gaia and see where they take us? Maybe the DW toast is a guide to the factions to get allied with???

My interpretation from reading was that the twisted men were already there inhabiting it. Also that the guy who killed Jason may also have been part of the dark wheel at one time. the dark wheel and the circle were initially the same organization that split up because Oberon and Neptune had different ideas of what to search for. But I suspect the schism had been building up for a long time. it's too bad there isn't really further detail into the backstory on these organizations.

Now im wondering, is there a Circle (ceip)* minor faction somewhere? Perhaps secretly? And if so maybe we need to work against them

* Circle of elite independent pilots for newcomers to the lore

OMG - for those with eyes to see, Frontier have been showing us all along where Raxxla is!! (joke btw)

One thing I learn about story building with most games is there is always conflict. Humanity has Thargoids, The Club will be fighting another shadow organization. Considering the history lore of elite conflict reigns supreme.

I've been looking into the Standard Missions, but I've also been looking into the Passenger Missions to see what's there, and to see if I can narrow the scope of 'who' might be good candidates to help trigger that elusive invite. There seems to be some commonality between systems/stations. Such as the recent media pass, which seems to have altered most of the factions (Mission and Passenger) contacts to all have sort of 'suits' and then there will be one faction in more casual flight gear or adventure gear per location.

For example, Aegis Core is like that whilst the others are all suits.

Not sure if it means anything, but I think I'll focus on the non-suit people for a bit and see if I can correlate any overlap of allegiance between them.

Ok this is just getting silly, we are now 755 pages into this thread and we haven't found a damn thing except friendship, laughter, learning, knowledge, more laughter and lots of silliness, are we trying hard enough I ask myself? Can't one of us just go, 'Oh I know where it is, yes its there just follow me' and be right for once, just once!

According to EDSM it will take approx. 30,000 years to visit every system let alone actually explore or search at our current rate, that's just daft, I cant wait that long. Someone find it will you!

Isn't Raxxla backwards Alxx aR phonetically. That could be Alex R. or Alex Ryder.

Hasn't the game used little things like this in the past to correlate names to their story lines/elements?

And if we go the time line way and say it couldn't be. What if he is a clone or the descendant of a clone? Hexedit anyone?

Also, maybe there is a reason he and his father kept finding or trying to find it. Maybe that is the reason and they are clones of someone who knew the location a long time ago(maybe the original discoverers) and are cloned to make them find it for someone like the club or TDW. They could have started cloning at any point in history, or multiple points in history, to use them to find it. Maybe that is part of why clones exist. Military or other organizations could have killed them(or the original discoverers) a thousand years ago and cloned them since then to find it. Our ships are probably giant spy machines for PF or anyone who can access the system info. Who knows what is supposed to be going on.

All of this fits with the original story elements from the first game potentially.

I don't know if cloning someone would logically produce that effect directly(who knows though), but from a story magic sense it might work. Or if you made up more about modifying the clone to use as seeker, or with some partial info from the living person brain, or some aspect of the brain you could utilize in a clever way.

Logically the game does set us up to follow the path of Alex ryder. Or it at least gives us the option. This stuff about a journey could be following his path also. Has anyone fully reproduced his steps in the game. I know people have at least partially done this.

Hypothetical: Raxxla is related to guardian tech somehow. The original finder/explorer was genetically linked and the tech can scan brains and find all info within it's limits and AI about a persons existance. The original finders were killled a long time ago, after finding Raxxla, and cloned in a way they would not know they were clones and sent out to search for it like they originally did. When they knew they were close they made sure one was named Alex Ryder, the orginal name of the finder of Raxxla.(if a name is attached to the techs security systems) This would require him to not know what he is to find and access the tech. He is supposed to do this for the other groups to bypass the security systems involved to get and use it for their own purposes. TDW and other things could even be reproducing the original life of the explorers in order to make them live a life and have as close as possible to the same experiences of the original explorer who found Raxxla(or what ever criteria are important). This is to allow the clone to access the tech and allow others to take control of it. They could have even needed to reproduce multiple gererations of the same familiy to reproduce a real belief in who he is that reproduced the original discoverer. Maybe they have made his, "family," play out the same history for a certain period of time until a new Alex Ryder is born and then goes to Raxxla for another attempt at getting the tech. All of the controls and politics could be partially to reproduce this. Including Pilots Federation and other elements of the games history or the clones lives. Or at least as much as would be needed. How similar is the sudden change in tech we have now to when Raxxla was supposedly found. Maybe it's a reproduction to some degreee of the original expansion of humans into space. It has many shared elements.

If Alex Ryder did find it and they didn't get control, they either have to reset and do it again or cloning tech advanced, and/or the fact they have his brain to scan could lead to a faster cloing/reproduction process as the original clones may not have had a way to gain the same knowledge as easily or accurately to act as a key.

Are there NPC's with the same names and/or ship names in the same locations as the original story? Maybe we can play out the original novel that came with Elite.

What if they expected this to happen very early in the game to start certain story lines and it's way behind schedule now and they keep sending drew to drop hints!! ><

They said no clues. But is that only from Fdev or from anyone. What is unstated could say everything.

Maybe we need to apply some reverse psychology to everything they have said or haven't said and think it out differently. What defines a clue?! Maybe things we think are not related to Raxxla are... We don't even know what Raxxla is to know what can or can't be related to it.

Ah, don’t forget all the lavian brandy!
And the biscuits!! 😉

I suspect someone has found it but it is a secret organisation!
Now who do we know that we haven’t heard from recently? Anyone seen the ninja penguin??

I'm curious about one thing about Premonition the part where Salome left an emblem in the Seven Veils. It described the one side described it as an Ancient Symbol.

Did we thoroughly look into possibility that the Ancient Symbol is apart of Earth history?

It was only the Imperial/Galnet news that said Salomé left the medallion. I believe later on the book said it was Luko, or perhaps that came out in Drew Wagar’s lore thread (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/lore-questions.459433/). Luko was a member of TDW, as was Rebecca & Elyssia Fields (spiky haired woman).
