Too funny.
I got a whole chain of missions from Aegis Core to eliminate the complete pirate hierarchy, which I did successfully, and then and the next mission I see is this from another faction!?

I've scanned a number of systems where the discovery scanner honks and says that x number of orbital planes have been discovered but when you goto the system map, nothing but the single star shows ...no roid belts or anything.

If only the primary star shows in the system map after you’ve honked then it’s a system that nobody else has discovered and any objects are beyond the ship scanner range (object size-dependent but around 60ls). You then have to move round the system orbits using the fss and zoom in on each signal to scan the planet/roid cluster/uss.

Sifi KX-S d4-10 not in edsm. Spinning up StarGazer to have a look.

Spent time in SOL, did not see the 'Friend' remark. Aegis Core seems to to be a dubious lot; "I think there may have been a little accident. Ahem. There's a certain satisfaction in completing work for the cooperative. Here is your opportunity to do just that". There's another version that sounds more interesting: "I think there may have been.. Work binds us, so take on any of the indicated tasks to become one with us"

Allied with all factions in SOL.

I had something like today twice "data broken error, please retry" or something happens in FSS. Then all scanned. Then you open map and see like 4D moon missing. (like 4C and 4E there), full reclick by FSS around 4 fixed ...

Although I also noticed the "become one with us" part. But I'm already allied, so I'm not sure whether I should progress killing pirates or not.

I'd take all missions from Aegis Core and see if it leads anywhere.

I was easily over 20k ly away in the "southern" outter arm just putzing around. But i've since brought that character back into the bubble.

it's weird though because plenty of systems out there would show all the planets in a system (even if nobody had discovered them) after a honk. but there would be no real details. You'd have to approach them to get details.

Not a concern anymore though.. I'm done with venturing out into the black for no good reason. Maybe when carriers/player bases become a thing...so i can mine pristine systems out in the black and come back home with a haul to absolutely tank the entire human economy .....or if they expand crafting, could give me a good reason as well - assuming the crafting required raw materials that i could base everything else off of.

I figured it shows up in bubble, especially "locked" once, when i did Earth and Vega FSS showed them fully scanned however I was 1st time there. In void it shows things if somebody else already sold that system to UC, however you will see on map "unexplored" until FSS. "Star" only means nobody sold this system to UC yet, most likely you're first visitor.

Strangely enough I think this may be how Raxxla or the DW Station appears, as an unresolvable FSS signal or something, no real reason just a thought and I keep an eye out for this behaviour just in case (its a long list of just in case eye keep an out scenarios lol)
