They're the only mf ive done missions for since ive joined the squadron a year ago in 2 weeks.

guys ...that my NS must not exists. It is 8 solar masses, anything over 3 is BH. Is it how real magnetars work?
No. It's to massive. At least according to current science.
2.16 solar masses is the current theoretical limit.
No one knows how they will behave in a transitional phase though. If an NS eats a large companion star, it may take some time before it fully collapses. These things rotate extremely fast.
Neutron stars can even exist inside a larger companion star, for a long time.

Yep ... but I think until AXP (I think it is atypical xray pulsar) spins it can remain NS for couple tens thousands years, I think i heard that during some lecture ... but can't be sure yet. Can't find written info. Also other namings wiki proposes are absent in game.
Asked on explorers subforum to check for heavy NS.

Strangely enough I think this may be how Raxxla or the DW Station appears, as an unresolvable FSS signal or something, no real reason just a thought and I keep an eye out for this behaviour just in case (its a long list of just in case eye keep an out scenarios lol)

That’s what I wondered when I saw the GG was missing, though I seem to remember this sort of thing happening infrequently over the last couple of years (but didn’t get terribly excited as I don’t think Raxxla is a GG). Think it’s probably a hiccup in Stellar Forge system generation.

Edit: the alternative is a bug in the fss!

No, all NS rotate, at high rates due to conservation of angular momentum from the parent star. The mass of this one is a bit high, but as Han_Zen said it may be in a transition phase. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutron_star

Im so jealous of you guys that have actual educations. I learn most everything from science channek, discovery channel, @GURU-951's threads/yt and what you all have shared on here. Its sad to think most of my coworkers think im one of the brightest guys they know lol.

Well ...not me really ... I liked stars since I recall meself, so was reading big old book (700+pages) for university about stars when I was 10 yo. Found it in my uncles's books. 30 years later I recalled that and started to watch youtube +some telescope when city's sky allows. Right now, I play Elite. 20000 ly trips - nothing to do - I keep watching astro lectures on pad near.
So it's simple. If you want to know - you dont need special education. At least to some degree.

In the DB video “ED has a story that "embraces all the players" he talks about invitation to join a secret organisation as being an event that happens at a certain point in a player’s progression/journey through the game. When asked by DJTruthsayer “where is Raxxla?” MB said ”Well, It's in the Milky Way, but I can't tell you where at this stage, it's a journey that everyone has to travel for themselves". You have always said there will be no clues "that is true, but I think you have to make some of it a tiny little bit obvious just so that people know what they are doing, there is nothing to be revealed at this stage".

I’m firming up on the hypothesis that Raxxla and TDW are related, and neither can be found until a player reaches that critical point. I suspect we’ll find TDw first and that will be the start of the endgame to locate Raxxla. Obviously related to reputation. Is there only rep with minor factions, or is there a hidden rep scale?

Though I have a niggling thought that DB said early on he was surprised nobody had found Raxxla yet, or am I misremembering & that was DW re Zurara??

More stars to check ...seems all PSR's as well, Btw a lot of them are outside range, like +/-10000 below/above plane.

The first thing Rafe Zetter does is train Alex to kill the guy that killed his dad. That sounds like an assassination mission to me. In fact correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't that the entire plot of the story? and then the story ends happily ever after when he completes that mission.

Had another scan through Holdstock’s TDW. “
Jason Ryder was convinced that Raxxla existed. That's why he trained for, and became a part of, the Dark Wheel, the legend-seekers.

So Jason was himself a member of TDW, & Rafe said

Because there are people on Raxxla already. This is only a guess, mind you, but from what happened to Jason I'd say it was close to being right. We've long suspected that a corps of élites lives there, and are exploiting the gateway. They're powerful, twisted men. Powerful enough to hire an assassin to kill the threat to their dominance.

N.B. “we’ve long suspected”! I suspect Rafe was also TDW, he was elite himself). The “powerful, twisted men” who inhabit Raxxla are antagonistic to TDW. I’m guessing it’s The Club!! Or CEIP (which might be the same as The Club).

And “
One thing's for sure,' Rafe went on drily. 'Unless you get there, unless you become élite, you'll never get to Raxxla.

So elite is a prerequisite part of the journey to Raxxla. Must start boosting my combat ranking! Dont think FD will have retconned that requirement.

Time to walk copawlot!

just keep in mind. That book and everything in it is not canon.

so I've heard, but do you have an FD reference source for that?

I know there are triple elites involved in this Quest (e.g. @Macros), but of those has anyone got a perfectly stainless reputation? No slave shipments? No assassination missions? etc? Wondering what is the optimal "personal journey" to interest a band of adventurers, treasure seekers and myth hunters!

Tyko & Jorki are both only double elite, so combat elite might be an obvious next step in my "personal journey".

@Han_Zen. Thanks mate! That journey out to T Lyrae was profitable. Found a few WW unmapped and even some undiscovered. Profit 38, 216,794Cr
Biscuits are on Tyko! ;)
