so I've heard, but do you have an FD reference source for that?

I know there are triple elites involved in this Quest (e.g. @Macros), but of those has anyone got a perfectly stainless reputation? No slave shipments? No assassination missions? etc? Wondering what is the optimal "personal journey" to interest a band of adventurers, treasure seekers and myth hunters!

Tyko & Jorki are both only double elite, so combat elite might be an obvious next step in my "personal journey".

@Han_Zen. Thanks mate! That journey out to T Lyrae was profitable. Found a few WW unmapped and even some undiscovered. Profit 38, 216,794Cr
Biscuits are on Tyko! ;)

the retconning of previous books and material comes from kickstarter days. There's not one singular source since fdev doesn't specifically say what parts of old written material they are keeping and what they aren't. only that the only "official" fiction is that which is sold on their store post-elite dangreous kickstarter times.

All of my 6 triple accounts have performed mischievous deeds towards triple ascension; none are spotless.

It would be hard to be an elite 'chef' without breaking some 'eggs'

I checked my stats this evening, Tyko’s got one assassination logged, but no slave shipments (Jorki was a bit more ruthless in getting Trade elite). But there are a lot of stats kept by the game (see codex Cmdr tab); and the three ranks for combat, trade & exploration are obvious, but there’s also System permits, tourist beacons, generation ships & abandoned settlements visited, and a thargoid entry (Tyko only had Cmdr Jameson’s logs here). Makes a bit of a daunting prospect!

Ahhh making me feel like a slacker... oh wait i am. Still have my one elite in exploration only because ive just been playing long enough that my disjointed wanderings have amounted to something... My one alternate account hasnt left his loaner sidewinder yet :ROFLMAO:

before the last patch you could get trader elite in a few hours.

Combat elite is still fast-trackable via thargoid scout farming as far as i know.

i think the least exploitable currently is exploration... . though if you skip over to colonia, you can neutron farm like a boss and get it done probably as fast as possible currently.

It could be the opposite, it could be that you have to do 'everything' in the game before anything happens. If you include all unique Codex discoveries and all tradeable goods and rares and all variations of missions that's quite a feat.

I hope not coz I don't trade animal products or slaves of any kind.

And a lot of it has been added since inception so unless the goal keeps changing its unlikely now that I think about it.

The most frighting part is the guy didn't give you a name. That's a huge red flag if you ask me.
His name is on the pic next to the mission thing. Patrician Mario Castro.

Still out in the black trying to match star patterns to Horizons start screen with the Orbis.
I have fss scanned Sifi KX-S d4-10. There is a gas giant showing in the spectrum response and 9 bodies reported but only 8 are detectable. There is a distant orbit line, but no gas giant appearing on it. I have logged to desktop and back but the planet has not appeared . Bug reported!

Did you take into acount the sun/mainstar. It does not show up as an FSS but it is counted in the body count I think. Edit: NVM, saw the later post. FSS was gassy. It had a little burp.

He meant the name of the person to be murdered. I say murder specifically because i received a wanted level from the mf that offered the mission upon completing the mission.

I have seen those 'go to a system and we'll give you more info' assassination missions. Never really paid attention how common or if any particular trigger, just put it down to fluff variation. I think I've had one as a follow up inbox mission too but not sure. (as in full mission in the inbox, not the 'we have put another mission on the board if you look' type message) I think I may have seen them for settlement beacon scanning missions as well, similar, 'We need you to scan a beacon, go to X system for more details' or 'We'll give you more details when you get to X' Have always been wary of them as haven't done many and didn't want a High Sec or one I didn't know what to do with, or worse one 300 Kls from the star. Don't recall them for any other type, but nagging at me is a Salvage one as well but I may have just imagined that or crossed it with something else.

iirc the first assassination one I took needed a planetary scan and I didn't have an SRV so had to go hunting, think this made me more selective before accepting incomplete info ones.

Is it just me or are all the fighter pilots standing around in the hangar bay near the engines all of a sudden? Don't often look as training up my Harmless crew member but every one today had an engine in the background.

I completed a 4-chain assassination mission thread for Aegis Core over the last few nights vs 'pirates'.

Started as an investment of 1M, then follow-up after follow-up mission progressively getting harder. The last one had me drop into one system, be told it was in another, nothing appeared from Beacon, nor FSS - but in comms I was told to follow a Cobra III as he was 'told to find me' and drop down out of supercruise to normal space where he gave me the intel for the final target which was in-system but only appeared after he provided intel.

It was the Pirate leader for the opposing faction, but I can't say I've had to drop out of supercruise before to get 'personal' intel provided. It's always been via messages, or scanning the beacon when you arrive in a system. If they're not there, jump to the other location and repeat.

This was different... and I quite enjoyed it even if it is just 'fluff'.

I felt like I was following a bit of a story line whilst doing the missions and helping Aegis Core achieve something. So well done FDev even if it doesn't help me get TDW invite!

I have, but only a few different times. Usually as part of chained missions iirc

Are those also fully Allied with Empire, Federation and Alliance? I was looking at this the other day, and in addition to working on my final Elite for combat, at the same time planning on ramping my Alliance rep.

I've also been investigating the passenger missions for TDW, Aegis Core et al and noted (anecdotally) there seems to be more 'Show me the Universe' style missions where you'll take a passenger to three locations close to, but around the bubble, within ~250ly. There are still the long trips, but these multiple hops are what I've been looking into.

Investigating all these out-of-band it seems like their nudging us to explore all the lore that already exists in the game, rather than relying on non-cannon, or unknown cannon material from the Internet.

Just my 2 cents.

No, all NS rotate, at high rates due to conservation of angular momentum from the parent star. The mass of this one is a bit high, but as Han_Zen said it may be in a transition phase. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutron_star
Ok, listened NS lecture again ... extra fast spinning NS may avoid being BH for some time, because being or not BH depends on density inside star. Current models predict easy 3 sol masses.
However, I still doubt about ingame 13 Sols ... as there are speed limits. At some rotation speed:
1. speed can be more then 1st cosmic speed and matter just fly out in space
2. "sound speed" may be more then light speed and then matter gets crazy and unstable.
all depends on initial radius-mass.

Huh, 1 more fun fact, minimal mass of NS must be 15% less then white dwarf, otherwise explosion will do dwarf. So it's around 1.1 SOL to 2.1 SOL. And I see plenty of NS of 0.3-0.6-0.7
...
