You need to think as programmer .. some things are hard to implement, for example counting visited "anything" just for raxxla ...would be waste of invested dollars. Because will use extra field in DB.
You can use only what already exists to hide ester egg. Sooo ... my point is it must be 100% combination of some game mechanics & stats.

For example, as u're tripple elite now, go try to make many quests for minors ("farm rank") until u get "mysterious stranger". Maybe couple times.
This combination seems viable, as tripples who bothers that quests are rare.

Theres a tip off/mysterious stranger thread somewhere that probably answers a lot of your questions Alexzk, fairly sure Ian Doncaster started it or is a regular contributor. One fdev staff member also contributes and said that the conclusions are getting really close to the actual mechanism for generating these missions, so close he offered to reveal it if they wanted. Last time I saw it they said not yet as still having fun working it out. Probably not connected to Raxxla or the DW though seems to be the conclusion.

DB did intimate in one of the vids that the personal journey was based on following missions around the bubble.

I heard that too, he said something like 'follow the missions' but not 100% sure what it was in relation to, I thought it was about Raxxla as well but cant find the source now (and not sure if I watched it or heard it 2nd hand). It was in relation to the fact that people werent doing as expected, that players were expected to move on and jump around but sometimes people stayed in the same system or a small group of systems. Im a bit of both, if I find anything of interest Ill stay and map everything and explore everything but otherwise I have no system loyalty and just go where I feel or where the mission says and then take another random one.

I did have a theory that some things are meant to lead us places. A couple of CGs have been in systems with something of interest, usually a Beacon, so wondered if the CG was designed to get as many players as possible to engage with that 'something'. But a lot of the trails run to a dead end, or a seeming dead end? Same foe the Engineers, a couple of them can maximise the chance of going to a system of interest (Soontil relics - I didnt check where to buy them and ended up in Soontil, Jameson shopping list routed me through a beacon that led to a Gen Ship but obviously that one depends on jump range so wont 'catch' everyone) Havent gone back on the old Engineers shopping list routes but its something I keep meaning to do just to see if I missed anything (usually I did them ina DBX with 60+ LY range so may have missed something)

tldr - Vetinari is grasping at straws and seeing patterns where there probably isnt any...as usual

I think you’re both correct. The “personal journey” path to Raxxla must involve in-game mechanics; I will get back to ranking up with Federation & Empire and running missions in a while, I have some other things I want to do first. And yes, I think FD have been dropping hints via CG, easter eggs, treasure hunts etc for a while. But their clues are not obviously clues so we’ve been ignoring them.
The video was

Just a little extra on the "Tour of the Galaxy" As I belive it to be the genisis of the lore format for Elite (And since FD seems intent on destroying it lately). The book is presented like a scrapbook showing journal entries of the couple as well as photos, newspaper articles, receipts and other clippings detailing their journey. It presents the actions of the protagonists through the journal articles as well as the photos. The news articles are slanted based on the news outlet. It also has military reports that correspond to events as well as snippents from the cosmic gazetteer. All staples of the Elite series. There are even two superpowers the Galactic Cooperative (earth) and the Aurora Magellan Federation which fought a war of independence from the Cooperative and is described as militaristic. Saud Kruger got its start by making interesting bracelets and Lakon Spaceways was originally Laker Space...? o7

Perhaps the current lack of gal news is the Shadow super powers that be silencing media sources for perpetuating rumors and information that may lead others to discover the intentions and whereabouts of said Shadow superpowers. That would be an interesting take on the current situation. Also it kind of forces those who want information to go out and seek it instead of waiting for it to be discovered and reported through the news. It kind of seems like an improbable theory but still makes the whole media silence a lot more interesting to think of it this way

The Club stifling news while they make their escape during the build up to the Klaxian invasion!

Sorry, ur english is ..hard some times :D ...for non-natives.
P.S. and others this count too - that guy with indian videos - i just skip. Sorry.

Basically we've found more places where Raxxla isn't located so in that sense we've narrowed the search from 400bn systems to 399.99bn (not exact maths but hope you get the idea) Another 30,000 years and we'll only have a couple of systems left to search :)

....
To anyone interested, I believe it is one of these two threads that @Vetinari is referencing. Both have responses by FDEV.

I found another book potentially connected to Raxxla in some way. I want to say specifically i am only assuming it could be connected based on the description on the site.

It's by Steven Eisler aka Robert Holdstock. Also i would suggest that either the people who run this site may be unfamiliar with Steven Eisler or he also has more pen names then we are aware of. Sorry that the site doesnt offer any useful information and i can barely find any info on this book at all. But perhaps some of you may have this somewhere and forgot about it or have heard of the other pen name they give for him , Steven Caldwell.

I hope this someone can find this useful in some way.

Edit: i personally do not believe Steven Caldwell to be one of his pen names however I found this list of pen names he did use on google....

Robert Holdstock's pseudonyms included Robert Faulcon, Chris Carlsen, Richard Kirk, Robert Black, Ken Blake, and Steven Eisler.
