Greedy boy !

Not at all. I do in no way condone substance abuse.

I suspect this has happened to all of us.
You sit at your desk in the back of the cockpit working on mysterious science, when suddenly the tinfoil hat starts to slide forward. As you catch it just above the ceremonial candle on the desk, you bump your knee on the desk leg.
The bump inevitably cases a scientific sample of onion head and noe on the special Canonn biscuits to fall into the hat. As you pause to analyze the situation, a strange fume starts to fill the cockpit.
Next thing you wake up confused and a little shameful, but with plenty of new drawings and theories spread all over the place.

Happens to me almost every week. [noob]

Can you post a pic? I suspect you're talking about the blue circlet that indicates you can land on the planet.

Edit: Jorki you Ninja!

No, not the blue circlets. Here's a video, but I've noticed that they are almost invisible on some monitors. They are quite prominent on my centre monitor which I use for playing the game but nearly invisible on both side monitors (I am using three) despite one of them being nominally exactly the same model. It's not possible that I am the first person to see these? Is it?

I think those blue lines are the drop zones oflandable planets. Orbit lines are orange.

What are dropzones? The blue orbit lines are animated, indicating motion of a satellite. Or something.

I may have seen what your talking about.

Recently been doing a bit of mining for engineers. Was using eddb.io to look for pristine metallic rings. Lots of the bodies being shown in the list as having them were landables, quick check on gal map showed them as landables with no rings though. Zoomed in to see of rings were there but just thin. Saw what looks like a load of much smaller bodies in orbit with what looks like a trail behind them. Not orbit lines but could say they do look like comets.

The objects and lines were not blue though, they looked grey to me. No idea what they are.

I see those on EVERY landable, inside and outside the Bubble.
I've always assumed they're a visual cue to help you see movement when you rotate the view.

They are the same colour as the poles axis line, so conceivably they are some other kind of map reference, but I don't think so. There is a lot of variation, looks quite random to me. Three circles on the three axes planes would make sense as a reference. These RNG lines don't look like any kind of reference to me.

Where is the source for the quote “Raxxla is not a POI”? It’s the first time I’ve come across this & as far as I know the only clues we have from FD are that Raxxla has ben in game from the outset, they know where it is, and there will be no clues related to it.

Is this a misinterpretation of DrewWagar’s quote that the Formidine Rift mystery is not a poi? (It wasn’t-the mystery was the Dynasty Conspiracy and their Exodus plot, but it was revealed through a poi which was the Zurara).

Yes, I made a mistake here, that quote was relevant to the Formidine Rift mystery. I have no notes, had a bit of a headache yesterday (not onionhead related), trusted my creative intuition while more focused on searching for a comet. Such nice think-outside-of-the-box type of gameplay.
I suppose it was an interesting quote to bring up though, since Formidine Rift mystery does feel rather unconcluded. What was the "more dangerous than thargoids" quote about, or did space madness bring down my memory for good. Doing some terraforming out there somewhere doesn't even sound that dangerous.

I kind of like the idea that somebody found Raxxla already, and just didn't tell rest of us yet. Emergent, community driven story and all that..

Drew Wagar did interesting description of Raxxla in his Oolite novella Mutabilis. It's not lore, and nor do I wish it was, but the impression of Raxxla being Guardian tech was there, and it was quite entertaining thought.

Guardian tech? That's not a bad theory, Guardians have vanished so it fits nicely in that sense. And we have all those Guardians ruins...Where did they leave all the good stuff?

*shrug*

Whatever they are, they're everywhere, so I'm not going to worry too much about them.

Well, I think we should diferentiate where is Raxxla and what is Raxxla (R is possibly everywhere, a place that is not a place and Oolite's witchspace and MB's "oh, it's in the Milky Way"). DW knows the what is, and doesn't know the where is (meaning "how to get access"). So, I take for granted Raxxla is what DW describes in his novels. He wouldn't have denatured the subject Raxxla after reading the alien background secret book from Frontier. What concerns me, is the "a certain celestial body"-thing which could refer to the access entry ( 8 accesses ? ) to R and could then be anywhere...and moving.
EDIT: which makes me wonder if the "obfuscated"-thing missions showed us R access moving from Ticushpakhi to Varati to 49 Arietis and Hip 8603 clusters ...most of them being in the (outer?) rim of the bubble. In this way of tinfoiling, we lost R access trail around HIP 8603 ...or maybe it's still there ?

TDW faction, Doc ?

Place that’s not a place cos it’s everywhere, door that is the key- - - it is the system/station on the start screen!
it’s everywhere because its located at each player’s location. It’s the key because they’re telling us to look for it & it’s in plain sight. :D

Oookay.

But since it's been in game since Gamma then you must be talking about the original start screen not Horizons, right? ;)

I think its the same planet but from a different angle/orbital place & just added station for Horizons

and its a little obvious!

Its a completely different station though. The orignal wallpaper features a Corilolis and the moon is off in the distance. So your looking for a system with an Orbis starport orbiting the moon and a Coriolis orbiting the planet. The moon, of course, is landable and the station is in a VERY tight orbit around the moon ... practically scheming the surface! Meanwhile the moon itself is in an awfully tight orbit around it's planet.

Mmm, yes the orbital height is a bit low!

You'd worry if the Thargoids were everywhere wouldn't you?

I think in another 6 months time!

If this is the case, and unless Frontier introduces some kind of interaction with the Goids that doesn't boil down to blasting them to bits, I'll be taking my leave. Thargoids right now are pretty shallow content in my opinion and if they end up forcing that content on the entire player base ... well, I guess I'll be praying for Star Citizen.

When you'll still be struggling with a pre-alpha SC , Doc, I will have already: discovered Raxxla, put a name on every single Club member and possibly be talking fluent Guardianish ...
And a retired well known penguin wielding a fishing pole instead of an axe. And granpa Jorki drinking milk instead of single malt. And Macros leaving for his third circumnavigation. And Han_Zen landing on Cass A A1 ELW.
Don't misunderstand me. I would love to be wrong ... :)

I'm sure you're quite right. [yesnod]
