I forgot who was looking into all the Norse mythology and Yggdrasil but just came across Rakapila a few times in Galnet and Rakapila also seems to be a tree deity but in Madagascar. Not saying this means anything but I found it interesting. Rakapila also has a station with Stone in its name for anyone following the ongoing binary image thread. I checked it out, didn’t see anything strange in there.

Apparently mountains on Venus are named after female deities. Rakapila mons is one of them.

Traitor! Youre not helping our whinge case for equality of forumites by posting over there.....but do nick any ideas and bring them back :)

Haha, no worries 😉

Yes, I’m just starting to feel that there might be some sort of connection.
It’s a long shot and if it turns out to be nothing at all, at least the Cryptic Insta/Twitter has been a really good fun to investigate.

Here’s where I am currently:

Instagram:
Coalsack Nebula. The stones. He keeps watching the stones.

Twitter:
System in the screenshot is most certainly: LAWD 26
Which has a station called Stone’s Legacy.....

I’m starting to believe it’s connected as well. The Coalsack nebula “obfuscated” the viewing of the Jewel Box to astronomers. The Jewel box was described as a casket covered in precious stones. Then we have Galnet already alluding to this with Harold Duval’s burial:

“The body of the Prince, contained within a jewelled transparent casket, was paraded through the city by a company of Imperial Guard.”

I’m going nuts now. Sorry.

So the binary drops coming out....Coalsack....
Someone above mentioned a part of the DW riddle ....jewel that burns brightest. Coal burns and is also origin for diamonds. A double-entendre here OR maybe just in context with the coalsack description below...
Now in the Elite Wiki Coalsack starts .....The Coalsack Nebula is a dark and beautiful jewel, especially when viewed with the Milky Way as a background. It's 500 light years from Sol.
Conventional wisdom is saying that given the technology at the time, there is a max distance a ship with that vintage of FSD could travel - and IIRC, 500 LYs is pretty reasonable, if that theory has truth to it.
Not sure what 'stones' have to do with it - but this all could very well be a pointer to The Dark Wheel.
Perhaps the wiki text gives us a direction - much like we had with investigating the formidine rift mystery. Perhaps getting to the nebula, aligning with SagA and then seeing what is along that path that matches other aspects of the toast.... Might just lead to The Dark Wheel.

You’re in the correct thread then, I’m a cashew, and a macadamia (dark chocolate coated!!)
I’m in two minds nuts 😁

I seriously hope the mystery of Raxxla and the Dark Wheel isn't resolved because of some social media, hint drop..."looki over here, its right here'...., so unimaginative.

Likely its an all hallows eve event, I've enjoyed it, the suspense is palpable, then again, I wouldn't put it past FD to drop some major narrative hint, its what they do.

But not Raxxla FD, not Raxxla.

MORE Info...

coalsack is within SE section of constellation CRUX (as viewed from Earth).
CRUX (aka Southern Cross) contains an "open cluster" (Pleiades is also an open cluster FYI) known as the JEwel Box (NGC 4775) on western border. Lots of bright stars in the "jewel box" - mostly blue, but has one red supergiant (kappa crucis).

I think Raxxla is safe for now, hopefully for a long time to come with other solvable mysteries along the way. This is only my 2nd in real time rather than reliving the past.
