I just found out I'm sporting the same coat of paint as Nutter after I saw the youtube vid.
I swear I didn't know that. I might be a Nutty fanboy, but I aint no wannabe!
@Whiterose, I feel the same for the Galaxy. Epic beauty through smudged windscreen.

I was originally opposed to the idea of an external camera, but you have all made me change my mind with these amazing screenshots...nice stuff.
There is a thread in the beta forum discussing how to get them into the lore. I have suggested calling it an inspection camera, and positioning it as something you send out to look at damage, etc., but which just happens to be useful for doing selfies, too.It can sound bad in theory. In practice though, it opens up literally new angles to perceive the game. All it needs for the "it's breaking my immersion" crowd is a little drone that pops out of your ship's butt and flies around. Though if it's the camera, IDK how people are going to look at the actual drone except in other peoples' screenies. Right now I just picture it being a really really small nanodrone, immersion get!
Personally I'm looking forward to learning to use it for news reporting. Screenies are awesome but taking footage of cool events for consumption at large is going to be phenomenal.

Here's mine, everybody.
Out in the Butterfly Nebula, high res nebula forced in the config. Slight tweaks to curves and saturation in Gimp.
Think i just burned up 4gb of disk space with high res screenshots at 300mb a pop![]()
