I am likely the only one you've heard about that has been taken out of the Dentists office by NY State Troopers. My wife is on 24hr bail response duty. Your services, while appreciated, were never required. My dog has a small barrel of gravy tied to his collar, just in case of a Gravy Emergency. I think ahead!
 
Atak2, I want to ask you something. No trick questions. Honestly.

There are a series of Community Goals happening around and in the Bast system; has been for 2 weeks or so now. Beyond the "I got 2.5 mil in the top 5%!" stuff, people are doing them for the community - the Cerebus Plague is isolating systems all across the inhabited bubble. People's ships are being locked down. It's a great goal for everyone and part of the story FD is telling in ED.

Most of the players are playing in Open, because they want to, or they feel they should for the CG. There are people transporting meds and have been since the start. However, the main cure was made in Bast and the mission now is to protect the convoys of medical ships with the cure - a purely pewpew mission (which everyone is thankful for after transporting meds for the last week and a half).

It's got what you want - fat trade ships, pirates, psychos, attempted blockades, bounty hunter patrols, white knights and black, millions in bounties. It's uniting people in the game for a fun time for all sides. It seems tailor-made for your playstyle.

Are you playing there? Would you play there? I really am curious.

Solo player 1: Does any chap here find our gravy chain threatened by the odd pirate?

Solo player 2: By golly - I lost some Palladium 6 months ago to these heathens.

Solo player 1: I propose an immediate nerf to these rascals that dare upset our permenant high credit trade routes. On our convenience they can beg for 1% of our cargo if they plead and treat us like the Lords we should be.

Solo player 2: Here here. Now where is my good Scotch.

How about if they added targeted combat missions that did count towards PP?

You sign up for a mission - any mode - and you or your wing get sent to take out a target(s).

It would be opposing players in open or AI in solo. You get dropped into an instance at the location and you duke it out.

Bonus points if you "capture" an opposing ship. Disabling it would count as a capture.

ETA progress would only count against the targeted ship not randoms, making the PvP element consenting.

It would have to be Players or NPCs in Open - there's no guarantee that opposing players could be found....
 
Temporary grouping for war CGs maybe?

War CG between 2 systems. Players can sign up to either side when the tensions are brewing (war hasn't broken out). Just players. When both have more than X signups, the tensions escalate into an all out war. Aim: destroy as many opposing players as possible. This CG has to be played out in Open. It will cause lots of PvP for those who want it, while decreases PvP against targets who do not want it.

Yes, it would have to be AI if no humanz were available.

It just seems like something they could do without making it PvP or specific mode only that might give some players a "meaningful" PvP interaction that could work with PP or CG.

Solo and others can fight NPC adversaries, in open they have their choice of NPC or players?
 
ED NEED bonus for online players

hello

i thing ED NEED bonus for online players . we need more players to go play online to meet them,find new friends and make the game looks live.

to prevent exploints I would suggest this - incrase all income from trading,bounty,minning etc from 5 - 100 percent. every week if the players not go solo,private or not logg off in combat he got 5-10% bonus to all income. if the player broke this rulles the bonus must be cleared and counting starts over.

players playng online really deserves a bonus for the risk he is taking from pvp

I think that this bonus would finally cause people to start to play online

First, everyone plays online. The offline mode has been ditched.

Second, PvP players should of course not get a bonus, as it would discriminate other players.

Third, you shouldn't put up suggestions that endorse forcing other people to play like you want.
 
Open V Solo again, the issue with not seeing anyone, is the way the instances are filled by FD. Someone else can explain how that all works; something about caves and dungeons, pixels and stuff. I have been in open play at a power HQ and seen no one for ages.
 
It's not about income for a huge amount of commanders, it's about the fun and experience. There is no hurry unless you need to reach some non existent end game , prior to moving on the the latest game release.
