Sure you could use the classic, buy my game for me and you can tell me how to play BUT... Any effort achieved in solo play MAY effect the effort of someone who only plays Open play. If the risk VS reward is allowed to cross into open play then it is technically unfair.

:D what risk and what reward?

My space pixels don't pay me nor do they bring me a cold beer. I lose nothing by having my space pixels blown up except the time I have willingly let other space pixels interact with them. If I'm not in the mood for other space pixels to interfere with my space pixels - there is Solo mode, which shares the exact same perceived risk and reward as Open play does. It's been discussed to death, resurrected and beaten so many times, I think this is going to get merged.

Don't mistake it for personal preference. It's just something that never made sense to me for a game like this. After giving it some thought, I surmised that if a player was allowed the same reward at a lower risk then perhaps it's something to discuss here on the forums.

I and a lot of others have no choice but play solo, every time I try open the game will crash, then the only way to reconnect is to select another game (Destiny)
Then reload game because xb1 wont disconnect from server.
For me Open play is only something to do to see who's on and for a short time. Solo is more stable. For me anyway.

If FD decides to police the game and start dropping the hammer on griefers, im sure more would play open play, same with revising the bounty system

That is just it though - there is NO lower risk in Solo. You'll run into the same NPC's as in Open, sometimes wings and wings of Battlecondas and LULZtures that will smack you silly if you are unprepared or inattentive. The only difference is that in Open - you will sometimes find wings of CMDR's in Battlecondas and LULZtures that will smack you silly if you are unprepared or inattentive.

Don't be unprepared or inattentive.

I am on the way to Hutton Orbital CG so I have time to chat (~ 20 mins lol). I played a PVP space game before ED (for ~ 3 years), I went back after ED started (I was in a wing (I paid for and setup the wing Mumble server), but their Dev's ( read bosses, the Devs were OK) changed the game too much for me

The only reason I tried to keep playing it along side ED was my wing mates (read Guild). Sadly 3 years of fun it fell apart and I can't even find those guys again (apart from 2 I have met again here).

Guess what, that is the only forum I ever used before ED, and I never went back to about the game after I left it, ED took my attention, the devs of the other game ensured I wouldn't play their game again, job done. I left the game and forum at the same time.

10 mins to Hutton ;o) Gotta go
