Also, some "common sense" policing goes on;

So outside a place that serves alcohol at 2am, some words are to be expected.
Outside a nursery / infant school at 8:30am with the same words and you're in deep trouble.

(Edit: Also, "Breech of the Peace" has been used to quell the odd potty mouth so families could enjoy a public space without having to put up with bad language)

Then needing a trip to hospital in an ambulance / the fire serve to get turkey out of the smoke filled kitchen / or police to arrest uncle Frank, who is off his face and outside starting fights with the neighbours.

The time of year only to be surpassed should there be a full moon on top - then all 3 emergency services have to call in extra staff and hope they can muddle through.

So glad I am not working this Xmas, got it off for once. Not even working News Eve during the witching hour. Seen all of the above, happy times apparently.

Ok then, Uncle Frank is "griefing" in open and needs local security to calm him down, mother left the oven on too long and used up all the fuel so the RATs are needed, and I drank too much and am now in my pod again in Solo reading about how much better open is with uncle Frank and not believing a word of it

As a player who is not interested in PvP but very much interested in Co-Op I would instantly switch to Open the second FD introduced a non-PvP flag. Untill then I'm gonna stick to Solo / Mobius (where I've only met one [!] other commander so far).

I would like to see a customization option added for you to combine weapons in larger hard points. These PODs would allow you to place smaller weapons grouped together to take the place of larger weapons.
We all know how the weapons work 2 small are 1 med, 2 med are 1 large etc... Well my suggestion would allow you to purchase a POD or Rack that allowed you to turn a medium, large, or huge hard point into points to mount smaller weapons.

Question: why would you want to "band together" smaller weapons? They suffer from penalties vs medium or large ships. Do you think a cluster of small weapons wouldn't suffer from this penalty? I can't see it.

Not poking you; I really don't see the benefit of doing this...

This isn't a game where you can lay claim to an area or control how others play. That's why I play it.

This is not a jab or feint at you, but please take Ziggy's advice about paragraphs. It's very difficult & fatiguing to read a "wall of text" - many people will just skip it, which means your points will get lost.

If that claim mechanic includes somehow excluding or restricting other "unauthorized" players operating in the same space, then I sincerely hope you never get your wish. Not in ED, at least. That is not the game that was promised, and it would ruin the game for many people that don't want to take part in this kind of conflict.

That mechanic quoted above is exactly why many people left EvE - player-claimed space. I would not have purchased E: D if it had that mechanic in it. I don't want to play EvE. I do not want the "little guys" to have no ability to "catch up" to a gang... er, I mean "faction" or "guild" or "fleet."

This issue creeps behind all the rest of the "nerf solo/group" and "we want more cause we play in open" posts. Give in to the first one (prizes for snowflakes!) and it will eventually lead to this point - claiming space.
