No it isn't. I've taken out the 3 angry anacondas. The vulture one I am still working on. But that's my point, it should be hard.
and again isnt compromise ....if u think its good for u ..but i think many will agree with me ...

That's fair enough. Give me my own solo game, uneffected by other players and I'll stay there, I think you'll find most Solo players wouldn't mind either.
However, I've been playing in 100% Open since 1.3 went live. If you force me, an occasional Solo player into my own server, I'll NEVER revisit Open again. Most other players are like me, and flip between the two modes depending on what mood they're in. And similarly if you limit their ability to pick you'll never see them again.
Be careful what you wish for.
Ill just post this here as well, someone has run an external poll, advertised both here and on reddit. The results are interesting so far in the context of the open vs solo debate. With 500 responses so far, from very mixed communities, i think its safe to assume is a decent reflection of the real state of players.
By the way, the poll revolves around powerplay and whether powerplay has changed people's playing patterns.

Here is my summary of the stats so far, although you might be more interested in looking for yourselves.
A vast majority of players either never to sometimes get into PvP. This probably covers everyone from solo players to those who play in open but don't make PvP their goal.
Roughly 50% of players are either pure PvE or mainly PvE, with another 30ish % being balanced.
Over 70% - yes seven zero percent - prefer to play in open. This directly contradicts those who worry about the hordes of players hiding away in solo affecting the game.
Amazingly enough, a large majority of players say they are at least slightly interested in powerplay, over 40% at least strongly interested. Funnily enough, reading the forums you would guess that 99% of players had zero interest in powerplay. Makes you wonder about vocal minorities doesn't it?
Bounty hunting is by far the most popular trade, followed by Mercenary (which i presume is grab money any way you can, but probably heavily combat focused). Those hordes of alleged people trading away in solo? Well, in total traders are 12% of the population, and while it would be fairly safe to assume a minority are in Open, it kind of makes you wonder what all the fuss is about when it comes to people trading in solo.
One of the big ones: While powerplay hasn't affected a majority of players' choice of game mode, 22% said they are now more interested in playing in open vs 13% who said they are less interesting in playing in open. A very interesting statistic.
And the last one, whether participation in powerplay has increase or decreased players' involvement in PvP. With 33% saying that it had increased for them vs 13% saying decreased.
My take on these stats:
The whole issue with open vs solo is massively being overstated by those who are in favour of doing something to either segregate or otherwise change how modes work. Same goes for how game modes affect powerplay.
Too much worrying, too much forum combat, and not enough just enjoying the game as it is.
YMMV.
EDIT: Here is the actual questionairre if you have missed this and would like to take part: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1l2LPv1hzeEXn25uFwTXVih93HRtxM-J895P1rHidA20/viewform?c=0&w=1
505 ppl from near 600k ? isnt even near to the right result![]()
The poll was on Reddit, seems legit to me.
But you re activities in Solo change mine in Open. That have to be changed... I wish![]()
Ill just post this here as well, someone has run an external poll, advertised both here and on reddit. ....
So why don't people go in open for this type of activity? Because there is a chance that they may be challenged for doing something they shouldn't.
Let me put this another way. If you spent 30minute cleaning your car and I threw a bucket of dirty water over it what would you do? You may ask me not to do that again, you may clean your car again, you may chase me off? Now imagine if you car got dirty again just after you cleaned it, you would just have to clean it again, then its dirty again like someone threw dirty water over it, you'd clean it again. Your car never stays clean and there is nothing you can do about it. This is the current game mechanic. What we are asking for is a chance to catch the guy with the bucket of dirty water.
But it is perfectly acceptable that solo players' action dictate what I have to do. That is a lovely solution.

fitting battleships in Solo and Transfer them into Open... IT has to be changed...
In Galaxy is enough Space to search a quiet Place, where you can do what you like... To get away from bulliges etc...
it is not that Scary...
Ok, how about a compromise. Going into hostile territory should be like going to a Strong Signal Source. (ETA: and I don't mean the wedding banquet)
^ yes they can, but we are not talking about the enemy from with in. We are talking about the enemy who crosses into our territory and destroys stuff at a 15 to 1 ratio and is invisable.
Can I just laugh my backside off...
CQC, brand new PvP Arena Mode.... exclusive to XBone.
And I was going to ask what modes it will be available in, but that won't be my problem for some time yet![]()

No solo player undermined anyone in Community Goals. It was a level playing field. You could go solo and do what the solo player was doing (farming res point, conflict zone or drop cargo off). In powerplay a solo player can come into your area and farm your friendly ncps, with no come back.

The current game mechanics made me sit around for a few hours to get some stuff to drop off because a controlled system in my power is being undermined by an invisible enemy. You know that's not sounding much fun is it.

Increased challenge would be nice at any rate. It is called Elite: Dangerous.Ok, how about a compromise. Going into hostile territory should be like going to a Strong Signal Source. (ETA: and I don't mean the wedding banquet)
