Hello everyone,

I didn't know if too many people were aware of the speedrunning community of JWE bc I didn't discover it until recently. The main category for the game is challenge mode on all 12 locations/islands. The game's page is https://www.speedrun.com/jurassic_world_evolution#Isla_Sorna

I just thought it was odd that a very popular game only had a few speedrunners. I actually just made a video showcasing some runs:

I just thought it was odd that a very popular game only had a few speedrunners.

Challenge mode wasn't there at the start, which I think is the main one, the majority of customers left JWE alone a few months after launch.

Popular speed running games also tend to be a lot more variable in aesthetics than JWE1.

A single challenge mode takes several hours, it's quite the time sink for newcomers.

JWE2 pretty clearly won't have most of those problems, so it's really set to take off this time. JWE1 speedrunning might also get more popular in future as a result of the sequel.

Funny you say that! There are a few glitches you can do to trim a few seconds off. One glitch involves making the expedition helicopter disappear, which I've never pulled off. If the devs have other glitches they're aware of then we're all ears lol because a second is a very long time to us.
