I was making a hyperspace jump, and then I suddenly got "interdicted". There was nothing on sensors, so I turned around, to find a barely visible thargoid ship. I snapped a screenshot before I got destroyed.

I was thinking about the way I'd like the Thargoids to be introduced and was wondering how it might happen. I'd like an explorer, thousands of years from home to have a close encounter, live to tell the tale and then have to race back to civilised space to warn the rest of the galaxy.

Anyone who's seen the Star Trek: Next Generation episode when the Enterprise first encounters the Borg will know what I'm talking about!

Interdicted whilst in supercruise. If caught, you get pulled out into open space to fight or try and escape. Would be nice to hear insectoids over the comms, prior to being attacked.

No no no, interdicted during a hyperspace jump! Think about it, you're watching the nice loading screen like you've done a thousand times before and then suddenly: "INTERDICTION DETECTED"!!! "What the...?!" you think as you reach for the controls and are just barely in time to struggle feebly for a bit before being mercilessly ripped from witchspace, and as your ship slowly stops spinning wildy and comes to a groaning halt you realise that the green blurs all around you are octagons, hundreds of them, as far as the eye can see...
