Yeah I'd do the same. Scream and run. I remember the 8-bit days, Thargoids really did strike fear in players. Thargoids weren't pushovers, but with a little bit of practice there were ways to get behind them and they couldn't shoot at you, that's if you could tell which side of the Thargoid ship was the front.

I prefer them to look like eight armed octopuses. The type that have an arm for every ship function imaginable putting us humans at a dis-advantage over pip management, SCBs, weapons selection, boosting, firing, turning etc.

If near a system with a space station, log into elite trading, buff the prices for that station to very high but believable levels so people will rush off and do some trading. post in the forum about huge profits to be made, then sit back and snigger at the ensuing chaos and mayhem.
Considering shadowplay doesn't work with dk2 unless I set it as main monitor, I'd take a lot of screenshots and try to get out alive.
I think that would be the second thing I would do. Pooping in them would be the first thing.
Tharg beer, Tharg-ettes (or other Thargs, we're not judging), Galaxy domination through interplanetary genocide and out-breeding, Tharg golf...

Well, I recommend to put in a lot of space between you and them Thargoids.
Hope you have an emergency Asp parked in a safe corner of the galaxy. Then put even more space in between and hide in a safe corner. Until, one day, you start to hear voices in the dark, in your powered down ship clinging to some Asteroid tumbling in space. Remember, in space no one can hear you scream...
