Ha ha, we really have become far too blasé about new technology and just what technological leaps are happening in our lifetimes! This is the birth of consumer VR, there is a
lot to improve on for sure but it's already amazing when you think about it, no? Yes, more FoV, wireless (with no batteries

), 16k screens working on a £200 PC, sub millimetre full body/digit tracking, full body haptic feedback (without wearing a suit) - I mean it's great to have these dreams and some will come and some won't. VR is still very cool though,
right now!
Half Life 3 would be a bad bundle for VR IMHO - a lot of people have issues with FPS type games/demos due to movement in the virtual world. People are generally fine in vehicles of some sort - cars, space ships - but not when they're walking and running as a person. I don't think this is something that VR technology itself can completely "fix", as there are physiological issues involved. Current methods are things like that Bullet Train game where you "warp" (IIRC) between locations. Something else that will help, that may sound a bit nuts but I know it works for me after using the Gear VR, is wireless and playing in a swivel chair! That way, when I want to turn a corner I physically turn in the chair and my body is experiencing what it's seeing.
Anyway, waffle waffle. There is so much to all this new technology - personally I am just glad we're getting this in our lifetimes.
