Ever since I was lucky enough to get the Founder's World permit and move most of my ships to Shinrarta Dezhra, I became fond of visiting V886 Centauri, about 11.9 Lyrs away. Planet 5a in the system had (note past tense) a bright ring of icy asteroids, and 2 very convenient Haz Res sites for bounty hunting NPCs. It was a great place for selfies (lol), as the light was very good, all the reflective icy rocks would scatter the light widely, so it was easy to get great shots. This kept bringing me back!
Here are some of the shots I took at that time, notice the background light, the asteroids, the planet.
Now have a look at these shots. They were taken in the very same place less than an hour ago. It has transformed into a very dark place. The planet (whichever way you look at it or approach it,) is just a big ball of darkness. The bright icy asteroids are all black smudgy non-reflective rocks, and the light is terrible now, wherever you go in the ring.
I'm not complaining btw. I'm gonna miss my old haunt the way it was, but there are wonders aplenty out there, and I'm on my way to find them. I guess I'm just saying farewell as I ponder this 'glitch in the matrix'.
