Guess that means they'll be nearly there.
Hope they don't have any network issues, that could make a mess of things!
Apparently that's when they'll need to cut engines to avoid overshooting as they're currently travelling absolutely flat out at the maximum supercruise speed of 2,001c.

Operation Fuel Beyond The Void update 13:00(UTC) 23 December 3303. Supercruise time: 50.5hrs
I am now 0.5ly from Cmdr Persera's location. My main engine cut off time will be approx 15:30(UTC) and will hold position to allow Cmdr TheUnkn0wn1 and Cmdr ABish to rendezvous with me. At that point I will refuel Cmdr Abish and we will then finish the remainder of the journey to Cmdr Persera's location. There are 2 reasons for this. First of all we have not conducted a beacon check since 21:00hrs(UTC) last night and by the time she checks in at 21:00(UTC) tonight there may have been some marginal drift resulting in a course correction to be made and second because we are keen to preserve the integrity of her long range distance record and therefore an overshoot of her location is highly undesired.
The rescue operation will commence at 21:00(UTC) tonight and will be live-streamed via Cmdr TheUnkn0wn1's twitch feed.
We are grateful to everyone for the support that we have received along the way on this epic and historic journey so far. The community spirit is awesome.

What a story, I missed all of it being busy with other stuff. Please let me know, what's the latest record.. as you are absolutely right, I did not optimize "Rocinante" for any of that and the aim was to come back on my own as did not expect Fuel Rats to help me out there..

The rescue attempt doesn't worry me. The return trip worries me. Commanders, it may be worthwhile having a response team assembled at Beagle Point, tooled up and loaded for wizards... just in case. This thing's getting a lot of publicity.

All three Fuel Rats have rendezvoused as arranged. We are currently holding 0.1ly from Cmdr Persera's location conducting final systems checks. I have refuelled Cmdr ABish and we are ready for the 21:00(UTC) rescue attempt.
