I don't have that string in my user.setting file.
I'm must add?

You can actually change this in game via Number of Background Characters setting.

The user.settings file is located in My Documents/The Witcher 3 folder - are you looking at the correct file? It's the very first entry in the file:

[Gameplay/EntityPool]
SpawnedLimit=300

See here for more info.

I don't have:
[Gameplay/EntityPool]
SpawnedLimit=300
In original user.setting.

I think that's because when the setting is at the default option it won't add the entry to the file. Try changing the setting in game, exiting it and have a look at the file again

This is unbelievable.

PCG magazine have voted this ...wait for it...41st in the top 100 games. 41st! What a load of garbage from a "top drawer" games journalist magazine. I'm speechless.

The list of other games that's "better" than this includes dragon age and it's sequels, fallout 3, bioshock etc etc. Yeah all reasonable games but not in the same league as TW3 at all.

At the very least I would have expected TW3 to come above any other action RPG game in that list. It is most certainly the genre leader for RPG games.

BURN!!! That's ridiculous and sarcastically sad humor all wrapped up in one. 41st!?! Ha, what a joke and true result of the Industry and Magazines out of touch with gaming that goes beyond mass hype and marketing. Guess that's why I've not looked at them in years...

* Overall improvements to performance, including some issues that may have been caused by 1.07.

One can only hope :)
or not, I'm quite content to stay at 1.06 if it doesn't work.
I'm also not too pleased with their relief for the Witcher Gear level change/problem:
"
  • In patch 1.07, the level requirements for certain items were scaled up, leaving some players stuck with only unusable gear. With patch 1.08, we are introducing the Wolven Hour potion. This potion will be available in everyone’s inventory once they install the patch. It will reduce level requirements on all gear for a period of one hour. This will give players time to level up or find alternative equipment using the gear that was available to them in patch 1.05 but became unusable after patch 1.07. After one hour, the potion’s effects will cease and the requirements for all gear will revert to their original, pre-potion values.
"

Oh well, Still the best game of EVER!!

I certainly wouldn't put the witcher 3 down as the best rpg. Anyway it's all a very personal opinion so to say something is the best in its genre is never going to be a fact.

It can be assessed objectively though - compare the mechanics, overall playability, fun, quest quality, writing quality etc., impact on the genre, impact on the industry, innovation and so on. And when you do all that, placing Witcher 3 at 41st place and lower that the games like FTL or Paper, Please or Diablo III is a big misunderstanding IMHO.

Aye 41st in a list with the very sub par rpgs above it is a joke.

TW3 is the best RPG made to date simple as that. It raises the bar for the genre (and much of the rest of gaming) in every measurable way, story, voice acting, gameplay, scope, atmosphere, I could go on and on. In every way it raises the bar above anything else made by the likes of Bethesda or bioware et al.

Those big name developers need to rethink their efforts and raise their own bar now that a relatively unknown developer from Poland has shown them how it's done in spectacular fashion.

Heh. Yeah. I saw TW3 at 41st and thought it a bit odd. TW3 would probably fill the first 50 slots of my top 100 by itself. (Followed by Falcon 4, S.T.A.L.K.E.R and FFE for the next 50). :)

Awesome game

Just finally finished the game after 4 weeks of around 4-5 hours of game-play on weekends. Just simply awesome. One of the best games I've played. It had its dull moments, especially early-mid game. Also it lacked a bit of the "freedom" and random events in large cities that I've loved in games from other developers like Bioware or the Elder Scrolls games. Weighty, hard choices, great quests and very relatable characters. 10/10.

Glad I haven't had time to play by the sounds of it. Haven't downloaded 1.08 myself yet.

Might give it a miss.
