Planet Coaster Thememaker Toolkit Kurzanleitung deutsch

Hallo :D

Also insgesamt 6 Objekte.

And for those that cant read german. (ME :)

Hello

This quick start guide assumes that the user has basic knowledge about Blender.

Step 1:

Make sure that the order is correct. To do this you have to set the size units to "Metric" in the "Scene menu" in the right menu bar, and to "Centimeters" in the other field.

After you've modeled your object, you'll need to 1. specify materials, mock the UV model and create the LOD models.

Set materials:

To specify a material, you can easily rename an existing material (if you've deleted the standard cube, you may need to create a material by going to the materials menu [orange ball] on the right menu bar and clicking "new Material ") To give a name to the material, simply click in the text box where the name of the material is displayed.

Remember the name of the material, because that's what you need later.

UV unwrapping

For the sake of simplicity, I assume that you have a simple model where you can test the whole thing. In this case, if you select the model and go into the "Edit" mode. Make sure the whole model is selected and press "u" on the keyboard. Then select "Smart UV Project". Congratulations, you have the model "unwrapped"

Create LOD Models.

All you have to do is copy the model. First, however, your model calls, for example, Object_L0. the _L0 later tells the TMT that this is your model with the most details. Now it's time to copy the model. You should be in "Object" mode. Click on your model and press "Shift D" then a copy should be bound to your mouse pointer. Click the right mouse button to make the model jump back to its original place. In the object window in the right menu bar (yellow cube) all objects should be listed and now there should be in the text: Objekt_L0.001

Rename this object to Object_L1. Repeat this process until you have Object_L0 through Object_L5 in the list. So a total of 6 objects.

You will notice that all LOD objects are exactly identical. Since you have a simple object such as a cube or rectangle, or even a sphere, there is no need to "collapse" these objects, so give less polygons.

Next click on "File" then on "Export" and select the file type. FBX.

Give your object a name and click FBX export.

Now it's time to give the object a material (simple texture).

Opens Paint, creates a new sheet with dimensions of 256 * 256 pixels.

Fill this sheet with a color of your choice for testing.

Do you still remember the material that you have assigned to the object? Assuming you have the material simply called "material" (without quotes), then you have this image now under Material_BC.png (it is important to select from the list of possible file types PNG) s.besten in the folder where yours. fbx file is located.

Now you need two files: Once an "icon.png" this is used in the game to display your model in the list of objects. And a preview picture of your object. Do not worry, the preview image will only be shown to you and on the TMT website, so it can basically be anything. The main thing is that the picture is not too big.

The easiest way is to reduce this preview image in Paint to the size 256 * 256 and save it as icon.png.

So as a final step packs your FBX file, the icon.png and the Material_BC.png into a .zip file.

You can upload this zip file on the TMT website. Fill in the object form accordingly and upload your preview image on the page. If you have done all this you can click on the submit button below.

After the model has been completely converted, you can simply download it and put it in the TMT folder located at C: \ Users \ Name \ Frontier Developments \ Planet Coaster \ TMT

Bear in mind, however, that no model may be larger (on one dimension) than 8 meters and not less than 50cm.

(This post is still being corrected since I wrote everything from memory, so there will probably be a few more bugs in the text.)
