Thermal Attack!

I've done nothing with the thermal weapons/upgrades, so I know nothing about them.

So I was PvE picking up materials at a USS and a FDL drops in, and I hear "thermal attack".

My burst lasers stopped working, and there was some kind of thermal error registering when I tried to fire. Multi cannons also did not fire, though no thermal indicator. This went on for close to five minutes, the whole time my overall temp level never got above 50-60, also my modules all showed 100%. I don't think I ever fully lost shields.

Weapons never came back.

Then I ran away, went to station, nothing to repair, and when I went back out, the weapons fired.

Is that how it's supposed to work?

Did you have any power in your distributor? If not that usually gives me a thermal overload indication. I don’t think MCs work after it’s depleated either.

I hear "Thermal Attack" all the time. To me, it basically means nothing.

I've never had the problem you described... unless my cap got drained.

Pretty much this. But I also have had very rare glitches where my weapons simply would not fire, so there's that.
