They are still improve the Performance ?

It's almost not worth responding to this wildly non substaniated post, but I cant resist. Your hard evidence please for these statements would be good to see. Do you know how hard it is to write shaders? Do you know how much processing is needed to do the work? What basis of fact do you have to accuse these people of incompetence?

How about using the same standard I'm judged by: The actual performance of my code. My company just recently deployed a new system to a 911 call center (in America that's the emergency number). The people who hired us to write it know nothing about software development. They judged us by checking that it had the features we agreed to provide, that it performed acceptably, and was robust in operation. If it wasn't then they would have been well justified in accusing us of incompetence. Telling them that they knew nothing about software development would have been followed by them kicking us out and filing a lawsuit.

FDEV has the same obligation we did: To release a product that would perform acceptably on hardware that met their recommended system requirements. It did not and the fact that it still doesn't after all these months makes it reasonable to assume that they are not up to the job.

I'll go back to your last statement. You stated that "EDO is broke and won't be fixed."

In my judgement EDO is not broke, it is working and playable, in fact I played it happily last night. So it works fine for me, on my 5 year old PC. Its working for other people as well since people are playing it. And there is no sign of frontier stopping producing game updates to improve it.

Enjoying it ? Enjoying that this Game is still a Beta? That Performance is a joke? Right i cant enjoy that...i hope they will improve the Performance much much more with the next Update
Something tells me you spend more time waching Yamiks' videos than actually playing the game...

Well it hasn't worked for VR players since update 9. VR has a major brain jarring flashing and flickering bug that was introduced in update 9. That's over 6 weeks where we have paid for a product and cannot use it. Not a peep about a hot fix. They need to watch some inspirational Warren buffet videos about creating a great customer experience.

why are poeple still commenting on this troll post is byond me ... game works on a freaking 1070 at ultra at 1080p ..... around 70 fps or 80.. if you dont have at the minimum a 1060 and a quadcore processor that is on you ... the forum dads need to stop . and the people saying they have 30 rtx cards and the game runs bellow 60 fps . just report them for trolling because that is a lie... unless they are trying to run the game on 16k

I think there might be more than one person who just assumes the dropdown presets are the best expert developer knowing options, choose those without tweaking anything else, and just expect them to work.

If your hardware is below the breakpoints for odd, its almost certain unchanged presets will lead to an unplayable / bad looking experience.

I like tweaking graphics probably more than gameplay thats been the same for decades, but you can't make everyone like this.

I mean, i have a 3090 and very occasionally do drop below 60 fps in on foot gameplay. But everything is in Ultra and 7680x1440 so... im not complaining.

I won't use anything but AMD and ASUS products, but not to get off topic I have to edit my last post as it's completely out of date.
I run an RTX 2080, AMD 3.7 8core.
Frontier Dev's have come a LONG way on optimization as I see more of a balance in hardware usage, loads, and mostly frames.
Horizons frames are perfect again.

Lower but more stability on my GPU and they are actually using a higher and stable portion off all 16 cores on the CPU. Well, 8py and 8vt if you know multi-core CPU's. Anyway, I've only seen 2 high-end titles that actually use the CPU to help out with optimization.
Had to reboot my system 3 time just to believe what my hardware monitoring was showing me.... Go figure...!
But I still see a very slight slowdown on loading screens from the transition of ship to Odyssey content, which is expected from ANY title that does that, (5 - 10 frame drop MAX). Not a big deal, but what you have described, well that's over my head I suppose.

But as mentioned several times that this post being a troll, I would have to agree. This platform runs custom Ultra settings on everything and no problems, coming from a day one vanilla Vet... Finally, almost perfectly fixed. Just a bit of polishing is all.

Well Fact is that alot of People with good Hardware has Perfromance Problems (included me). Odyssey can call in best case as a beta version.

I have no Problems with Cyberpunk2077 or one of the newer Games , and all of them have better Grafics.

Even after today's update I get wildly swinging frames in stations. Anywhere from 40s to 70s. I'm running a 2080 RTX, 64GB RAM, i7 10700k on nvme storage. Should be more than enough to run everything on High or better at 1440p. We're 10 updates in and the performance gains have been sporadic at best. I can't discern any rhyme or reason for why sometimes it's OK and sometimes it's not. I'm starting to think the game engine just can't handle it.

I'm at a settlement on Zeta Horologii 6 A, framerates in upper 30s to 50 ... what is this? Just don't get it. 10 updates in now

Performance is still bad, relatively speaking. It's been inching up, with some major improvements in U8 and U9, but as of U10, it's still about half of what it feels like it should be.

unless they are trying to run the game on 16k

4k, with 16k textures and three extra shadow frustums past ultra.

Can Confirm that the Frames are swining... in settlements they are dropping often down.. My CPU USAGE is swinging heavy to. going up to 70%and down, while the GPU USage is down at 50-60% . i even have thought that alot of Detail Settings doesnt have an Effect...Like Anti Aliasing, Texture Terrain Details on Full Detail and so on.. It Doesent matter if i have Anti Aliasing on or of

My load times seem to have gone down quite a bit. Smoother station concourses, as well. Overall a good experience. Nothing massive, but it is notable.

This past weekend I played many iterations (at least 10) of high ground CZ with min fps of 30, mostly in the high 30s to mid 40s and maybe occasional dips down to 27/28.

I died a few times per CZ but won all of them (except the one where, mid shot, I got called away from the computer for about 30 minutes)

Some of the CZs I was by myself, some of them I had 2 friends in the same instance.

My gear (all as purchased) is G3 Dominator Suit w/combat movement speed, G3 Executioner w/stability, G3 L-6 w/magazine size, G3 P-15 w/silencer.

I had no issues with fps, stutter or lag (maybe once but not sure, no footage). Later iterations of the CZ I was simultaneously streaming to both YouTube (1440p via OBS - CPU render) and Discord (720p). I would have video to show but other people's voices were recorded and they asked me to delete it.

My machine is:
Windows 10 Pro
AMD x570 motherboard
Ryzen 7 3700X - 8 core
16GB DDR4-3200
RTX 2060, w/minor overclocking (+125MHz for both GPU and MEM clocks and +15% GPU voltage) Fan profile set for max temp of 62C and fans not full on all the time.
Dedicated NVMe storage for the game and video recording
1440p video

My Graphics Settings for Ground work:
High Preset, AMD FSR 1.0 w/SS = 0.75x

When in space I change graphics to Ultra Preset w/Normal and SS= x1.0 and I rarely get < 70 to 80 fps

Later tonight I'll get the opportunity to try out Update 10.
