It's almost not worth responding to this wildly non substaniated post, but I cant resist. Your hard evidence please for these statements would be good to see. Do you know how hard it is to write shaders? Do you know how much processing is needed to do the work? What basis of fact do you have to accuse these people of incompetence?
How about using the same standard I'm judged by: The actual performance of my code. My company just recently deployed a new system to a 911 call center (in America that's the emergency number). The people who hired us to write it know nothing about software development. They judged us by checking that it had the features we agreed to provide, that it performed acceptably, and was robust in operation. If it wasn't then they would have been well justified in accusing us of incompetence. Telling them that they knew nothing about software development would have been followed by them kicking us out and filing a lawsuit.
FDEV has the same obligation we did: To release a product that would perform acceptably on hardware that met their recommended system requirements. It did not and the fact that it still doesn't after all these months makes it reasonable to assume that they are not up to the job.
