Third Party Apps

I've been playing Elite on the XBOX recently and I've fell in love with the game. I want to get back into it on the PC as there is so much more available in terms of enhancing gameplay with third party apps.

I remember I did have INARA linked in once but no idea how to do it again.

Is there a list or guide for recommended apps to have to enhance the gameplaying experience?

It really depends what you want to do with them.

If you want an app that reads your Journal file and does something useful with it - passing the info to third party databases, letting you review it more easily, etc. - then there are quite a few. ED Market Connector and EDDiscovery are the two that get the most use - I use EDDiscovery and it's very good, especially if you like exploring ... you might find EDMC more suited if you just stick to the bubble. Both will integrate with most of the big websites (EDSM, Inara, etc.). You only need one of them, so try both and see which you prefer.

Thanks I remembered I had ED Market COnnector before. EDDiscovery looks much more indepth and I think i'll give that a go and hook up to INARA
