This is a message for Frontier (Hacker in Sothis)

Hmmm. My FdL can flip 90° no problem, and I shoot with 4 multicannons and rip your PP out if you don't armour it / fit MRPs.

(at least I theoretically could :sneaky:)

Am I a hacker now?
Aye. I've seen some crazy good pilots out there do some amazing things with a FDL. In theory the FDL can rip apart a 150M Cr Anaconda in seconds. In practice, it all depends on who the target is. However, you'd really need to be on your toes to escape a proper gank in a big paper target.

If his rebuy was cr7. 5 million I wonder what else OP could have been flying to get a rebuy for that price?

I realise OP was in Sothis running passenger missions to raise cash but my FGS has a higher rebuy than this!

Maybe the real story here is the OP hacked his rebuy costs! Scandalous. ;)

Is that the reason you combat logged three times? By posting it here you're shaming no one but yourself and FDev.

You're shaming yourself because you don't know how this game works, and performed a move marked as cheating by FDev, for multiple times. Then you came back, and accuse other players for cheating, because their engineered ships had better performance and lag, yes, we know that but only you don't than your stock 'conda?

You're shaming FDev by cheating without being punished, and showing us how the network mechanics is a pile of mess. Said ganker had your ship blown up in his client, then you magically log in again with your ship in one piece. Disconnection from other players happens. Happens once I blame lag, twice I blame hard luck, and there's a third time.

I'm not said ganker, in case someone thinks that way. I just heard some stories, and I trust said ganker more than a stranger who has suspectedly combat logged. I would apology in the case you did not combat log/task-kill, but that means all the blame goes to FDev for not developing a proper network environment for player to player interactions.

That is most disturbing honestly.

That really is pretty sad. Its not like Elite is hard or mega reactions are required. FD are pretty good at detecting players who cheat - remember the engineers hack when they removed all the players modules they found to have used it :) I pretty much HOPE FDev put abit of time into scanning the logs and BANNING players who have used any of this - should be easy enough for them to trace :) :)

hardly any news. we've seen shield hack since 1.0 (alpha?), this is just a tool for script kiddies, i take it for granted that there are surely several of them around. there is simply no sensible way to avoid this in a p2p scheme, it has been discussed at length. the paradox is that it's really pointless to cheat like this in a game like elite except for the giggles, so this really doesn't matter much ... except it's another embarrassement for frontier.

the disclaimer on the tool's 'experimental' tab is significant. that they warn of bans means that they are tinkering trackable values. implying everything else completely escapes frontier's control. while that might be a bold assumption on part of the hacker, it wouldn't really surprise me.

He moves like a hacker. Period.
I have 1200 hours in this game, I've seen a lot of players flying and doing amazing things with their ships but this wasnt that case. He teleported and was hidden all the times.
HACKING as you call it is a game feature to be enjoyed by those who wish too. The only recourse one has and after 1200 hours one should know, is to utilize SOLO MODE on occasion.

I'm not sure what you mean by Hacking is a game feature, please explain that because I'm confused about how using a third party program to give oneself an unfair advantage in an online multiplayer game is a game feature. Additionally, I don't think one should have to self-banish themselves to Solo mode to avoid people who are cheaters.
