You could simply just self destruct and end it all. It would be quite fitting after this post. Can I have your corpse?

Shok.

{ Did you you sell your Frame Shift Drive? }
why would i do that ,to what purpose,if i buy another it will most likely malfunction like the other and thats if the base im stuck at even has one for sale, the point is the one i have is one of the most expensive at my level it should not brake and i should be able to fix it

Im just asking if you may have accidently sold it when outfitting your ship, or you may not have enough power actaully going to the FSD, have you checked your ships power output in the right panel when in the cockpit? You may have upgraded components that are hogging power away from the FSD.

Edit: I've done some research on your behalf, are you trying to jump outside the bubble? As this is the explanation of why a frameshift drive malfunctions. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=30699 . Zoom out on the galaxy map so you can see the bubble, and see where it is you are trying to jump too. If you got there in the Cobra, you can get out, if you bought the Cobra there and lacks the needed jump range to get to a system inside the bubble, sell it, grab a sidewinder, and re-buy it in another system. If needs be sell your Cobra, grab a sidewinder, self-destruct, and grab the free stock winder and start in the starter system, and with the credits from the sale of the Cobra, re-buy it.

Just got a headache from looking at that wall of txt :/

edit - I okay, I stumbled through your rant.. how did you get to dock with no FSD?

OP what system are you in?

Let us know the name.

It might be one you shouldn't have been able to get to. That "Frameshift Drive Malfunctioned" message usually means you're targetting a system outside of the sausage. It might say the same if you're trying to get back in.

777driver please stop posting ,your not helping at all

No need to be rude, you did rant about things that all of us have seen at one time or another and got through without losing it. He's also trying to get information to give you advise and help.

All that said, every one of your issues appear to be problems of your own making, some can be fixed or reversed, others, you might have to clear your save and start over, or self-destruct.

It's a game, and it's beta, relax a bit, think about what you're doing before you do it, make sure your ship is capable of going where you're trying to get to, use the galaxy map for that purpose. Provide information when asking for help, and we'll be more than happy to help you.

Good luck Cmdr.

I'll take a stab. I may regret it afterwards. Tyros - and I don't say this to be insulting - but could you perhaps type a little more clearly? Your first post was quite difficult to read.

The Frameshift drive malfunctions... are you sure your ship has enough power? When you upgraded your Frameshift Drive and other components, did you also upgrade the power plant? As others have said, it may also be that you're trying to jump outside of the currently allowed field of play. If you check the Galaxy Map, you should see a 'highlighted' section of the map. These are the stars which we can access, currently - if you're outside of them or are trying to jump to another system outside of them, you're likely to encounter problems.

For myself, I've not once had a FSD malfunction. Neither have I had any issues with cargo jobs disappearing. The only time they have 'disappeared' for me are when the timer on the mission has run out before I handed the job in. Are you sure that's not what is going on?

Trading wise... that's where I've made most of my money (Probably around 20 mil since Beta 3 landed). There are plenty of tools out there like http://elitetradingtool.co.uk/ and Slopey's BPC Calculator which make trading a lot easier. As you earn money, upgrade your ship with more cargo space to carry more goods, then upgrade to the next ship, upgrade your bays etc etc... I'm now in an Asp with 192t cargo. The Type 9 is a bit of a jump from there, but I'm looking at chilling out with a souped-up Viper and doing some shooting instead.

Apparently OP is done with this thread, judging from the first post edit. So I'm just going to close this one down. :)
