Newcomer / Intro Throttle Question

Is there a command for engaging forward thrust with slight burst similar to how verticle and lateral thrust are used?

I belive there is an option to set/bind your thrusters to only give thrust while the key is pressed down and go back to 0 once released, in the option menu under keybindings....
I use a joystick with an aditional thruster controller so I have no use for this myself I belive only people who use mouse/keyboard need this option. I think it's fairly easy to just give a short burst with my throttle if needed and press the rewerse button if I overshoot the landing pad...

I don't agree. I also am using a stick with a throttle controller and it is not possible to produce a slite burst of thrust using the throttle. There is a slite delay when increasing speed via the throttle. What is the name of the command you speak of?

For what do you need such a tiny amount of thrust that it cannot be done by just giveing a small thrust with your throttle ?
I mean I can actually set my throttle to give my only 1 km/h or 2 or 3 ect. all the way up to max of my current ships speed.....

There are separate bindings for Flight throttle and Forward/backward thrust (similar to the lateral thrust), if that's what OP is asking. Just check the control settings more thoroughly - there's a lot of stuff, there.

I'll check it out, thanks. This will be a big help to me during docking/undocking

You can also try Landing Overrides section of controls. It is a control set that is active while the landing gear is down and you can map the controls completely differently, for that situation, or, for example, lower the sensitivity, change deadzones and max. input and such things. Very handy.

There was a time I had switched Up/Down and throttle for landings. it was much easier to handle the altitude by throttle and rest by a POV hat. Kind of like a helicopter.
