Ticket Booth at the end of a queue

Hey there. Do you guys remember the times when 30 people enter a ride with that ca-ching sound in previous rct's ? This was a feeling huh?

I really don't wanna miss the feature to be able to build ticket booths at the end of a queue and let people *pay* there. In general i want people to pay for rides optionally.
As long as it's optional, nobody wouldbe angry if it's included. And it's a must have for me [yesnod] (even though it sounds a bit silly, it changes how the game feels)

I think the option of having guests pay at a ticket booth at the ride is a standard enough occurrence in real life that we will see this get added to the game eventually.

As much as I like this I don't think this is realistic. Once you enter a theme park rides are free. The only things you will be buying is food, drinks, midway games, arcade games, cinemas, souvenirs, photo booths, and possibly certain rides like sling shots. Now at fairs you buy tickets for rides and then give the operators of the rides the tickets to ride the ride, but that is about it. You don't pay to go on rides and that is why it shouldn't be in PC. It's just not realistic. Now if you want to hear those sounds, maybe they can add them to food stalls and vendors, but that's about it. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I would like to see the Ticket booths go away and that be moved to the front gate and then it would be just a path to the rides which makes more sense and then put a ride operator in place that open the gates close the gates and run the ride (animation needed)

We'll like I said, "maybe they'll add that to food vendors and restaurants, and certain rides that require you to pay like transport rides, sling shots, and etc. for good times sake, but not on regular rides and coasters."

Licore: Most definitely!

I take it you haven't ever been to a free entry amusement park then? I live 50 miles from Knoebels' Grove, the largest free admission park in the USA - it has no fence around it, no gate, no entry fee. The rides all cost tickets, which are purchased in booklets at stands. Most are in the 1 to 3 dollar range. Food and games take regular money. If you don't like the free entry idea, you can always go and get a hand stamp for $30 or so dollars to go on all the rides without tickets. But the free entry thing is entrely realistic - in fact, it has certain benefits, such as if an adult or a grandparent wants to escort kids or teens and doesn't want to go on a ton (or any) rides, then they don't have to pay admission. Now most free entry parks have multiple or infinite entrances, while the parks in planet coaster have 1, but that's really the only unrealistic thing about them being in the game.

I've only been to fairs, Disney Land, Knotts Berry Farm, and Six Flags Magic Mountain. All of theme parks I been to you pay an entry fee and the rides are all free except for a few like sky sling and transport rides.

I'm hopeful that we may get a deeper management sim with this. Part of that could be the ability to decide how you want your park to operate. Give us the choice of ticket booths at either the beginning or end of the queue for a "free-entry"business model - or let us select to go with an all-inclusive (for the most part) ticket purchased at the front gate and no booths at the rides.

P.S I also woud like to see ride operators checking seatbelts and such [yesnod]

I grew up with Mall of America. Would go there one or two times a summer. They used to use tokens or tickets. I actually can't remember really. For sure we had to pay at each ride. My parents certainly liked that it was cheaper than going to Valley Fair 20 minutes down the road. My Father really only likes the log flume ride, so it is a big savings to pay for the one ride versus a whole entrance ticket.

I remember Blackpool Pleasure Beach having free entrance to the park and you needed to pay a fee for every ride separately!

Then again...that's 16 years ago... *sheesh* [where is it]

[up] It was possible to have multiple park entrances in RCT3 scenario editor mode. I would love to see "infinite" entrance points with guests free to walk anywhere, unfortunately that is unlikely and probably wouldn't work in this game. But what i wish we could have was the possibility to replace entrance "gates" with ticket booths at any location, and then charge tickets for rides.

I would love it to be a free placeable piece while building queue lines. In that way, you can decide if the ticket booth comes at the start, just at the end of line or somewere in the middle. [yesnod][up]
The ticket booth could be a building that attaches automatical to the queue path when placing it down.

My personal preference is at the end. Although, something not many here thinks of is a queue line void between the ticket booth and the ride were the next group of guests summons before entering. That, is what I want to make it realistic. [happy]
