Tips for building a cool Elite Dangerous setup

Ultra-D will be the next big step for me (so I hope).

I had VR headsets back in 1996. They have come a long way, but not long enough for me to want one.

When the next gens come out, that will be a different story (4k+, wireless, 200+FOV)

I am not wasting my time by any means. It is my hobby. Keeps me active and learning new stuff.
This was my old hobby;

Before I parted it out, it looked like this;

It was SCARY fast with the new batteries installed. But, had to sell it to move. The cockpit is my new hobby.

OK...back on topic please.

Here we are with lights off and upper console in place. Note that when you sit in the chair, the entire monitor is viewable-the upper console does NOT block any vision.

I love the creativity in this community. Always brings a smile to my face.
I love all those handmade buttons and things like that, but to be honest since I realized that you can use one trigger as a shift and get an entire new set of controls out of my HOTAS, My hands sadly no longer need to leave the controls. So instead I’m investing in MFDs to show ancillary information.
