General / Off-Topic Tonight I will mostly?

I'll be listening to a couple of episodes of an old BBC radio drama I picked up in a charity shop. 'Aliens in the Mind' with Peter Cushing, Vincent Price, and Richard Hurndall - based on a story by Robert Holmes. Three Doctor Who connections plus Vincent Price couldn't be ignored.
Peter Cushing was brilliant, although he was never the same after marrying Whoopi Goldberg! ;)

The missus is out and I'm having an X gamer mate round for a few beers over playing ED. My dogfighting skills, such that they are, may therefore deteriorate towards the latter part of the evening. :)

Tonight I shall mostly be looking forward to tomorrow morning.

I worked on the bike - and giggled like a Japanese schoolgirl when she fired right up ;)

I'm mostly resting my legs after walking around my city all day with friends from my wife's village. And I'm about to watch the latest episode of Cosmos: A Space Time Step By Step Explanation of Why Creationism Is Wrong.

to be honest I don't think a documentary that gives Step By Step Explanation of Why Creationism Is Wrong is even worth viewing. we all know the great noodly one created the cosmos, that's why all planets/stars and pretty much anything that is in our universe are shaped like meat balls.

I've mentioned before on facebook how their almost direct conversation with Creationists bugs the hell out of me. Just report the science and let it speak for itself instead of trying to engage with these people. Those who can be convinced will be anyway and those who can't won't accept your explanation over Ken Holvind's bible-friendly fake-science.

Little bit of ED maybe.
Bottle of Hardy's Crest (fizzy).
Battlestar Galactica S4 (got to finish now I started although the whole show has a very muddled plot and the religious claptrap is most irritating).
Contact BT about my new 75mbps Infinity going down as low as 5 or 6mbps at busy times (contention is one thing, that's one third of the speed my normal broadband was at busy times)
Discuss/argue/whine on these forums.

:)

I liked the new Battlestar Galatica but found it seemed to veer of in an odd direction in the later series. It was still good mind, but I did find myself thinking that it didn't seem as good towards the end.

I started watching the prequel series Caprica One but quickly lost interest. :(

I find Hitchens and Sam Harris wonderful to listen to on this topic. Watched some great debates over the years from those two ;)
