Too many visitors

Im experiencing the same issue like in Planet Coaster at the moment:

Starting the game, im playing with around 80-100fps with everything on ultra-settings. But the more visitors are coming into my zoo, my framerate is dropping really hard. Ive got 76 animals living in my zoo and around 3000 visitors. Now im playing with just 20-30 fps in average and the game feels really slow and laggy. I havent even used more than 10% of all the space on the map.

Is there a possibility to limit the amount of visitors coming to my zoo? I think in PC there was an option like this. Or some other ideas what to do? (put settings down, but this early? what shall i do, when ive build around 20-30% of the map. Playing on with 10fps and settings on low?)

Edit: Using a rtx2080, AMD Ryzen 7 2700x and 16gb ram, so my computer isnt that bad.

Dude you're playing a beta, optimisations will follow.

Of course you should always try turning the settings down if you're struggling for fps.

I wouldn't worry though, planet coaster, on my machine can have way more pedestrians, and they're practically the same game engine.

This is an early Beta build as Planet Zoo is still in development. We are aware of some issues regarding framerate that may affect some players and our developers are doing everything they can to resolve this as soon as possible. The Beta build does not reflect the performance of the final game.

Ive got around 100 animals living in my zoo now and around 4.000 Visitors in my zoo - and im playing with around 10-20 fps now. The game ist really slow and really laggy. Changing graphics from ultra/high to low doesnt change anything. fps are still the same.

Yes youre right, its a beta. But ive got the same issue with planet coaster. After a time my park was unplayable, cause i had just around 10-14 fps and huge input lag. when i wanna put something on a spot, it needs a short moment til the game recognizes this input.

It was my biggest fear, this PC issue will make it also in the new game, cause it makes it kinda unplayable after a while. Its not a problem of my computer/system, cause i had the same problem with both my old and my new Computer with the same savegame of PC. Thing is, i have not even used a quarter of the whole map.

First posting.

AMD ryzen 7 2700x, rtx 2080 and 16gb ram. Also the first chapter of the career mode was kinda laggy for me. Had just around 30-40 fps.

Its jusr the same issue i had in Planet coaster and what made me stop playing PC for a long time. I had a park that was around 25% of the map with 7.000 visitors. Doesnt matter if i played on high settings or on low, i just had around 10-15 fps at the end. I made this park before i got my new computer at the beginning of this year and it was the first thing i tried: loading that old savegame of PC and watching how many fps ill have with that new system: and nothing changed. I had also just 10-15 fps with that new system.

And now the same happens to me in PZ. 100 animals, 4000 visitors and just build around 20% of the map and the game gets unplayable. Yes, it is a beta. But like i said, its the same thing like in planet coaster.

i already tried this, but even at 100$/50$ people were running into my zoo. now i increased it to the top: 200$/200$ and noone is coming to my zoo anymore. I already lost around 1000 visitors (from 3.5k to 2.5k), but just got 5 fps more i think. Problem is, now my money is decreasing, cause i need those visitors to stay positive.

My zoo isnt that big so im wondering about these Problems this early. Am I doing sth wrong or how are you guys handling it in "bigger" Zoos?
