Tracking Hull Intergrity On The Road

That's needs fixing. I mean unless you were slamming into stuff which I doubt, that's an insane amount of hull damage just from flying around.

Honestly what sadist comes up with stuff like this?

As with several others in this thread I think you are confusing Hull integrity with Hull damage. At 0% Integrity the hull has approximately 70% of the strength it's hitpoints would otherwise indicate at 100% hull (ie no damage).

If you collide with something or take incoming fire without shields up the hull will be damaged, and this is shown on the HUD. Integrity is a function of time spent in supercruise (as is paint wear, the two used to be linked but players petitioned to allow the work paint effect to remain because it looks cool).

Hull integrity is not shown on the HUD, only when docked in advanced maintenance at a station/outpost or 'structural elements' on a carrier.

Hull integrity honestly bugs me quite a bit as well. I imagine it as bolts in your plates, panels and hull in general getting looser, metal bending from wear and tear... This is truly dreadful thought deep in the black, that next jump your ships might just simply unscrew and pull apart right under you inside hyperspace!
