Tracking Progress

I was always planning to take the sorta-scenic route on the way Sagittarius A*.
Stopped by Colonia... and have been visiting many/most of the alternate POIs.

Then I got curious and wrote a little log scanner to see what I could see... surprising!
(I'm not even at WP6 yet!)

I'm feeling like there's a Community progress opportunity here... I'm happy to give access to the script. It's written in Windows Scripting Host, for simplicity and compatibility without installing anything, at least with Windows.

I'm also thinking about an online thing... But would require uploading all your log files. That doesn't seem good.

Does something like this already exist? I don't need to reinvent...

You can install the Elite Dangerous Data Interface (EDDI) and link it to the Elite Dangerous Star Map (EDSM). Once properly configured, the EDSM will track your progress in the EDSM. You will probably find the EDDI useful for several other things as well. o7

Would running EDDI and EDDiscovery be redundant? I currently have EDDiscovery running and getting my stuff to/from EDSM is happening.
But I recently started using voiceattack with some cool HCS voicepacks for added audio fun in the cockpit. So was thinking of switching.
Any input from users of both/one or the other?

If syncing with EDSM is all you use EDD for then yes, using both is redundant. If you use other features then you only need to run both if there are things you want from both that the other can't give you (and in that case updating EDSM from both is pointless).
