Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Successfully installed new 1.4.0 version; however, receiving .NET Framework error on startup of the application. Error notes that EDMC_Data\EDMC_Commoditites.csv file cannot be found. I see in the new install folder for TCE that there is an EDMC_Data folder created; however, it is empty. Thus, likely the error. I also tried copying these matching csvs from my TCE.old folder; however, on startup of TCE 1.4, this folder is automatically cleared prior to the error occurring.

Thus, in summary, is there something required to correctly maintain the csv files inside the EDMC_Data folder?

Thanks for reporting, will fix the issue soon. Because EDMC is not working at the moment, the error happens.

TCE 1.4.0 first try

Hey all, I've been away for a while again but I couldn't resist getting back in to try the new update.

As usual from the screen shots, it looks like Eventure outdid himself.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for me, Like for all previous new version, I rename my old TCE 1.3.9.1 folder and instal 1.4.0 fresh

When I start it, Instead of being asked where the Game is installed or if I want to import my old db, I get :

See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

I also tried installing it on top of 1.3.9.1 with the same result.

Hopefully you all have better luck ! Enjoy the new patch :)

Send the error log (click on details and copy the text) to eventure(at)ki.tng.de.
You can add your database (the complete folder) of the version, you want to transfer.

Thanks

Just a small note to say I am getting a 404 error when clicking the "manual" link in the launcher of 1.4.0.2 and also the link in the OP does the same.

Thanks

Additionally, TCE fully loaded and journal successfully updated! Looks good, now I just need to update my custom color scheme to match my old. On this front, is there somewhere in the old config where I can copy my color scheme values and paste into new?

Patch Day, as usual :)

Can you provide me the error details (click the details button and copy it into spoiler to your report.
Thanks

My Bad, I was installing TCE on my new ssd E: and the old version was on my C: drive.

I've just installed TCE back on my C: drive and it's imported the old db ok!

Can I just move the folder to my E: drive and run it from there?

Edit: I just edited the TCE.config to reflect it's now on my E: drive and it seems to be working fine

Thanks

Yes, check the TCE.config file at your old installation. There are values for primary and secondary color.

You have to adjust the drive letters at the TCE.config to fit properly, if moving the installation.

Thanks for fixing the manual link. Getting the following error on launch and on connect when docking:

"EDMC ship data export differs from actual standard. Please update ECMX to the newest version."

I have just updated to the newest version (2.2) but I still get the error.
