Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

hey eventure,

so what is it with the 1.5.8.2 full? is the 1.5.8.0 still pre-required? if yes, it would be good to just link the "broken" 1.5.8.0 and then the 1.5.8.2 update file in the main post.
i'm kinda confused, guess i'll catch a tragerl bier on my way home, and think about stuff and life.

my errors aren't the same as the people posted bevor, so i don't think it's because of an failed upgrade.
i guess the tool has an issue with my bounty (multi-millions), see the second image.

not mutch harm, it's a small db, not mutch to lose.

With the V1.5.8, some database changes are included, regarding duplicate star names and an addition to the bounty database. Because you got your errors reported, you either installed the V1.5.8 or later and copy by hand your databases from an older version of TCE into the new installation, or installed the V1.5.8 over your old version or your only copied an update, which requires an V1.5.8 installation, into an old version.

Anyway, you are using outdated databases with the new version. That's why you got the errors, you reported.

Please download the new full version 1.5.8.2, linked at the first post of this thread, install it to a NEW folder and transfer your databases from the old version at the database window of the launcher (Transfer button) to solve your problems.

I'm not seeing a mission button under the center trade button anymore. Also, as reported earlier in the thread, when I go to missions in the personal panel I see a bunch of old missions, but nothing new. Am I missing something?

You only will see a button, if you have an active mission, which got detected by TCE. Because the list of active missions is also empty at the Personal panel, there is no mission to track actually, or TCE didn't detected the mission, you accepted.
If that would be the case, I would like to have your journal file for the session, the name of the station, where you accepted the mission and what type of mission you accepted.
That would be helpful, thanks.

When in Icon UI mode, I can make the icons vanish until restarting the application. Here are the steps to reproduce:

1. Be in Icon UI mode
2. Open any panel
3. Hit the Control button on that panel
4. Close the newly opened control dialog, this will make the icons fade out

Did you use the latest version of TCE (1.5.8.2)?

mm not really ;-) i never installed 1.5.8.0 in the first place, i has always been 1.5.8.2 FULL. after 20 years in IT i kinda got a hang of the difference in full and update releases :D

i installed 1.5.8.2 FULL into the 1.5.7.8 folder. launcher had the button to update the db, that db-update actualy finished in <1 second. after that i got those errors when i launched tce.
doing it that way worked the past releases i used, guess it was wrong then.

then i did a fresh 1.5.8.2 FULL installation and tried to import the database from the previous "half-failed" update attempt, import success, errors still presitent.
also your built-in db verification shows now errors.

no worries, i created a new db, only wanted to forward some "there could be an issue" bla.

yeah, I upgraded just before posting, I think it's been here since 1.5.8 onwards

The issue will be fixed with the next update.

So now I understand, what you had done. Thanks for the clarification.

You installed the new version into an old, which produced the errors, please follow the steps to fix your issue:
1. Install the new TCE verion into an new folder, beside your old version of TCE.
2. Go into your old TCE version folder, open the TCE.config and edit the TCE version row to "1.5.7.4" manually.
3. Back to the new version, start the launcher and transfer now the database from the old version.
4. Now instead of copying the TCE_Stars.db file, all entries got transferred to the new version.
5. Launch TCE and the errors are gone.

And in the future, please follow the guidelines, I always note with the release of a new full version:
1. Rename your current TCE folder (e.g. D:\TCE.old).
2. Install the new full TCE Version (e.g. D:\TCE).
3. Run the TCE Launcher.
4. Select Database -> Transfer -> Choose old folder (D:\TCE.old).
5. After scanning, select Start Transfer.

Eventure

I use 2 monitors with the extension on the second one as I prefer full screen in Elite. Problem is the filter on the route planner always seems to verlap on to the first screen, even after moving the panel with the position setting.

Any idea how to stop this?

Thanks

Can you make a screenshot of the issue? You referring to the Route Planner or Route Finder panel?

Thanks for reporting, found the second issue with the landmark type.
Did you also tried to store the location via the Planetary Map panel? The Location Database panel is bugged in the case of landmarks.

As you can see the Route Finder Filter is overlapping the monitors.

Thanks, you can hide the filter settings with the button at the top-right corner of the panel, or move the panel to the farest right postition on the screen, so the filter isn't displayed at the left monitor.
By default, the filter is attached to the left side of the panel and switching sides, if the position of the filter is off-screen.

Another approach is to shrink the panel with the Control button at the top-left corner of the panel by 10% and move thereafter the panel to a center position.

Does anyone know of a way to ommit certain wares from the route finder, such as Imperial Slaves?

You can't exclude wares from the route finder, only from the route planner.

Hi Eventure, thanks for getting back to me.

Shrinking the panel only affects the main UI panel, the route finder stays as is.

Will there be an option in the future to exclude certain wares?

This Control button to change the size of a panel.

Excluding certain commodities should be possible, can't say, when it comes, but I will add it.

Thanks for the reply. nearly all trades that are found near me include Imperial Slaves so it would be good if they can be excluded.
