Primary, TCE collecting financial and cartography data. The journal logs are missing informations about the exact (within a star system) coordinates of stations in space or on planets, which are important to TCE,
so registering a market can only be done while playing, cause the exact coordinates are available (through the netlogs).



The counter of visited star systems and stations are bound actually to the logbook, but it should be possible to add another column to the databases for visits (which would be editable in TCE by the user) to count up the visits.

What do the other users think about that?

Ideally, I'd want the system and station visit count to stay upto date even when I forget to run TCE for some reason. This *could* be done I think by reading the logs (TCE already detects unprocessed logs) from previous sessions for system/station visits and incrementing.

The other thing you *could* do, though I understand if it's a step too far, would be to also count station visits that are not yet registered; maybe hold the count in some tmp area somewhere, so that when the station *is* finally registered (and I understand from above you need to do that whilst playing the game, no problem), instead of it defaulting to the 1st visit, it can use the count from before it was registered.

I've just updated from 1.5.9.6 to 1.6. I did the transfer and then verified all DB's. The 2nd one (Cartography iirc) had an error, so I used the repair option. When I then launched TCE, it got stucj at 60% launching and spat out this error;

Identified the issue, it's a rare case scenario (only for multi-account users), caused by a false readout of some databases after the transfer. A restart should fix the issue. Will be fixed with the next update.

The count could still showing wrong numbers, if you start playing ED before the release of journal. So I will add the ability to change the visit count for a station manually.

TCE will only count the visits for registered stations, so you have to register the station, which should be the common procedure.

All I have to do is go to the Trade Overview Window and select BEST BUY then the error is shown. Even if I select a Commodity first then select BEST BUY I still get the error.

I missed that report obviously. Problem identified. Please don't hit the enter key, if you have added more than two letters, to evade the error. It should autofilter thereafter the list automatically. A fix will be included with the next update.

Actually TCE can't detect outside changes to the databases, so I rate all databases as unverified at every start up by default.
Don't worry about that, because you only have to verify your databases after an error, update or transfer.

There's a bug in the Journal. Some stations that have duel economies are only being recorded in the Journal as a single economy. So when I visit a station that I've previously registered that has 2 economies TCE changes it to a single economy as per the Journal entry.

I just thought I'd let you know, it's not a problem with TCE.

Love the app but could you get it to move elite to foreground whilst in frame-shift, and only move it back once it has read the log file entry created when ship arrives in new system. because at the moment i get a few seconds of black screen just after arriving in a system, whilst this can add a little extra excitement to the game as you fly blind into the nearest star, i think were actual to hit the star or get interdicted whilst waiting for my screen to to clear i would be very annoyed with an otherwise flawless app.

Hi there,

your issue could happen, if you have selected a very high Trade Range. Please try to reduce it to the default value of 100 LY.
Did you run the internal benchmark of TCE (Options panel, System tab)? What are the results?
I'm asking, because the process times depending on your PC specs also.

Hey Eventure I just updated to 1.6 and I cannot seem to restore the prior Database I verified the file there where I am pointing too but it just lists everything as missing. I also Still have the issue with the Missions.DB that I posted early where the Missions.DB doesn't seem to update with new information anymore would deleting the old one and just starting a new one help or would that just mess up all kinds of things.

To be sure, did you have selected the DB folder instead of the TCE root folder of your old installation?
You can reset your mission database to default (empty) by selecting it alone and hitting the Default button.

OK Database restoring needed to copy and paste the backup file into the Backup Temp folder under the new TCE install for it to find it

OK Database restoring needed to copy and paste the backup file into the Backup Temp folder under the new TCE install for it to find it

OK Database is having an unhandled exemption error when it gets to transferring the Factions.DB it read it ok but the transfer process is stopping on the error see below

please send me an error report (incl. ErrorReportFile.7z) from your old TCE version for a check. The next update (tomorrow) will contain a fix for your reported issues.
