Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Hi Eventure

I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned. Number of visits to a station. I have just returned to my home station and its saying I have only been here 3 times. I also noticed that a place where I was trading for the last couple of weeks also had a very low visit number. Is there any way to fix it to reflect the correct number of times that I havea visited a station?

Thanks as always for a great addition to ED

I have one install of ED that I use to run two different Cmdr accounts.
Both are a different playstyle in different parts (though very close) of the Galaxy.
Is it possible to have TCE act like a separate installation for each of these careers.
Example if that is confusing:
When looking at the suggested trade routes is it somehow possible to have TCE disregard systems "saved" for the other career?

EDIT: Guess my issue may be a moot point as I read back a few. TCE is not updating trade prices?

Yes, you can now, go to the market database and enter the proper visit number there. Hit the Enter key to finish you edit and save it.

TCE now shares the markets and stored locations for all commanders, but if you want to make a separate database for your commanders, I recommend to install another TCE installation for your other commander.

TCE-Relay is missing a server side update (as described here), so it can't update TCE prices from EDDN at the moment.

Due to the 2.4 update, there are new salvage goods, which have to be translated.
Anyone, who wants to use TCE in german, french, russian or spanish, take a look and help translating them here.
I will add them to the next full release asap.
Thanks in advance.

OK, I think I know where that is. I was wondering if the actual number of visits is stored somewhere? and why that had been lost?

Thanks

The number of visits were created before from the logbook entries, so it doesn't cover visits, you did before using TCE. Now I have added a column to the market database to set the proper number, if divergent.

ED Market connector :invalid credentials error now, since 2.4. No update available for it either as of yet. Strange as when I open it, I am logged in so clearly my credentials are not invalid lol

Have ya'll thought of making a TCE MKIII Discord channel. I am part of a few other 3rd party Discord Channels and it really seems to be easier for apps. Multiple channels for help, notes and announcements. Easier to find info too. Just a thought. Maybe there is one and I am not finding it.

Hi Eventure

Just a heads-up I upgraded to 2.4 and now getting error that I have Invalid Credentials have no idea why and found one or two other players have the same issue.

think you got the message.

The cAPI is usually down for a while after big updates, so be patient, it will come back when Frontier is ready.

Hi Eventure

I've been using TCE for a while and understand that it would not account for the visits prior to using it. But it used to show a more realistic number. For example my home station I have been there (well I'm not actually sure) but certainly a few hundred times. It used to show that, but now it says 2. I could change it and I now know where to do that, but is there any chance of getting the number back that it used to display?

Thanks

It should already counting station visits from logbook, if no stored value is available, but found a bug, preventing the call for counting logbook entries. It will be fixed with the next update.
You have to set it back to 0 (zero) to instruct TCE to count the logbook entries to add the value to the visit count.

Hi
Sorry, I'm not really getting this. Do you mean I would have to reset all the stations that I have been to, to zero? Then once that has been done it will then count the correct entries in the logbook?

Thanks

No, by default all stations have a visit count of zero.
Previously, TCE counting all logbook entries of your commander, where a station was listed.
Now, TCE has a new column in the market database, where the visit count value is stored. If TCE detects on docking, that this value is zero,
TCE counting the logbook entries like before (and here is the bug, preventing it), adding one up and storing the count into the new column.

So now you are able to change the value, if the true value differs from the stored one, which wasn't possible before.

Because of the bug, all stations you dock currently, become a visit count of one, without adding the logbook entries. With the upcoming version to correct the count, you only have to modify the station,
which has a wrong visit count, edit the value to the proper one manually, or set it to zero again, so TCE recognizes it while saving, that the logbook entries have to be counted for the station,
and storing this value into the new visit count column of the database.
