Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

I have noticed over the last 4 or 5 updates, that every time I update, the process runs fine. But when I run verification, the outfitting db always has an error and has to be repaired. It shows about 200k for the outfitting, after verification, it shows about 200 and error, then I repair, and it goes back to about 200k and verifys ok.

Is there something going on with that, or is it not a problem?

Please try to RENEW your database when updating Trade Markets (incl. outfitting) at the EDDB-Relay. If it won't help, I need your database (with the error in the outfitting database) for a check.

I did the 'renew' thing the first time you mentioned it, so I doubt it would help. I verfied with today's 1683 update, so I will send you the backup from yesterday, which should have the error.

Hey.

I realize that windows 10 handles multiple monitors badly, but I have a weird issue with multiple monitors. I have 3 screens in surround and recently added a small auxiliary monitor. TCE handles the three monitor span well (except for the behavior of the (new)summary window) but has specific issues when another monitor is present. If launched with the additional monitor as primary, it doesn't show anywhere on any monitor, aside from a brief thumbnail of loading bar when the taskbar item is moused over; then, everything including the taskbar item disappears. If launched with the main spanned monitors as primary it seems fine at first, but half of the tabs won't produce visible windows, although they give other indications that they are open. If then, the monitor as primary is swapped, those tabs will work, but the other half will not. If the monitors are swapped yet again, back to the original configuration, all tabs seem to function properly. The only tab that works uniformly, if I recall, is the options tab. So I can get it to work, but it's a bit odd.

Also, if the "re-scale" dialogue pops up when enabling monitors, the answers yes and no both re-scale all windows to 66%.

On another matter, I am curious if it is just me, or is the status of a system only capable of changing from "?" to "visited"? The other levels implied in the color selection screen piqued my enthusiasm, but don't seem to work.

It will fix the issue, just tried it and it worked.

Cool beans on the fix.

Something else is wrong. I am running a 'deliver stuff' mission. On my second trip to the destination, I delivered the mission goods, then checked the trade panel, which claimed ~1000 cr profit for super conductors. When I got back to the origin market, I had to sell at a loss of 80 cr. When I brought up the trade panel, and used the mission panel to set the destination, it claimed it was an 'unregistered market'...the one I just came from.

The markets are: origin: Ovid/Abe Works, destination: Aulin: Simmons' Progress.

*edit: when I then used the 'destination box' to pull up a list of markets, and chose the destination market, it showed up properly and did not show superconductors as a profit trade on the way back (which it is not). So something up with the mission box used to set destination.

*edit 2: I will probably have to bug report this. When I am at Ovid/Abe Works, both TCE and the in game trade data do NOT show superconductors as a profit trade with Aulin/Simmons' Progress. When I am at Aulin/Simmons' Progress, both TCE and the in game trade data DO show superconductors as a ~ 1000 cr trade for profit with Ovid/Abe Works. WTH. Video will be posted.

Here is the vid for the bug when using Mission Panel for destination selection.

Here are the two videos showing either wrong, or confusing, trade data (game bug?):

Again spent hours trying to get TCE to run after the latest update 1.6.8.3 - can't use it again. This time it says under extensions in the status box: "I/O OR OS-ERROR. And it still says that elite version is 3.01 - I have 3.03.

That looks like a game bug with the markets, I think I'd raise that with FDev or check the bug list and see if it's already been raised. It could be a special case with those two stations and the trade values. I've seen various issues with the Game Trade Tool.

1: Giving high profit trades for items that are illegal at the destination station so you can't sell them, as the station didn't even have a Blackmarket
2: Giving high profit trades +~2000 CR you get there and make +~500 CR, so there are definitely bugs with the game trade tool.

So if the in-game trade tool is bugged it may be spewing out bad data for 3rd party tools also, which is possible why TCE gets affected.

Hi, so I just updated to the latest TCE.1.6.8.3 And I'm having problems with scans again, this time it's been stars so far.

I get the event error pop up

Error message
Conversion from string "05:27:19" to type integer is not valid

Then the usual event debug with all the scan information in it.

Also clicking on anything in the scan protocol window gives me an unhandled exception pop up with the same error. With a bunch of details,on Visual Basic and other stuff. Also nothing shows up in this window for any scan so far. Only done 2 at this writing.

Will get an error report sent on over to you. Thanks for all the help.

So a slight update. If I go into control/system/panels and uncheck "show scan protocol while " option, I no longer get errors after scanning, so far done about 5 in a system without errors since.

I have found that when I do a normal EDDB-Relay update and then verify the db the Outfitting.db always fails. But when I do a RENEW db then the verify works without issue. So I stuck with just doing the RENEW and then forgot about the issue, so I tried it just now and and it does the same. Fails when doing a normal update, but works fine when running the RENUE update.

Ignore the error and go to the DATABASE PANEL and Verify your db. I have noticed this error being shown when updating to a new version of TCE but I just ignored it as it goes away once you have verified you db.

There is an issue with the mission destination selection in TCE. The mission register didn't get updated properly, if you accepted a mission with an unregistered destination market at that time, but later on it was registered on approach.
An update of the mission register is now done after each new market is registered by TCE.

The other one must be a game bug, because TCE and the game is in line with the obviously wrong data.

The "I/O OR OS-ERROR" message comes directly from EDMC, which only reporting, that no data is available at the cAPI, because of you have left the game undocked.
Nothing to worry, all will return to normal as soon as you dock again in the game.

The 3.01 is the version number of EDMC, not from Elite Dangerous.

I'm on 1684. I didn't notice that TCE had locked up until I got back from a delivery mission. It still showed 'approaching' for the last place I went to (mission destination). When I clicked on 'control', it popped this error:

Tce has detected an error at the following event: dockingrequested

Error message:
Index was outside the bounds of the array

Event debug:
{ “timestamp”: “2018-03-24T13:14:49Z”, “event”: “dockingrequested”, “marketed”:3228740096, “stationname”: “forest refinery”, “station type”: “outpost”}

I clicked 'ok' and TCE seemed to be fine. I restarted TCE anyway to be safe.
